I like the way Chileans speak Spanish the most.

Clear, articulate, not too fast or slow, good grammar & accent, etc.

What do you think?

Chileans have the worst Spanish in the Americas!

We speak Spanish worst than Aussies speak English.

(Sorry Australian fellows but I can't underestand a word of what you say)

There is even a book an American wrote for English Speaking people that have tried to understand us. Buy it before even attempt to go to Chile

I've actually heard the exact same thing coming from an Uruguaian, something about Chileans not pronouncing their vowels or the like.

I myself can't tell, don't know a thing about the lingo, and Los Jaivas still sound great to me.

I've heard many different people from various Spanish speaking countries criticize the Spanish of other countries. Chileans were impressive, but based on your posts Chile doesn't really deserve any compliment, so I'll retire my thread & leave it here for future reference about the quality of Chilean Spanish.
