When i did my walk in Acropolis i found behind Erehthion this inscription in Arab letters. This inscription was down near to some stairs.
Can somebody who knows Arab inform us what is telling about this epigraph?

OK. I think it is in Turkish.

goes like this, the first line:

Seen (or sheen) kaanaan (or kaanaal), the the necxt letter is an h and I can't make out the rest.

Second line I can only make out one word and i am not sure if it is right. Al qen or alqan.

Maybe others can have more luck!

hmmm not Arabic langugae

the first word in the first line is "Husain" which is a name  then " kulnarhan.." which i dont know what it means

the second  line isnt clear except a world like "alqadrah" which means power or ability.

Are you sure it is Hossein? I only see seyn/seen - the second word is definitely Kulnarhen, you're right.

Third word looks to start with "taashaa".

I think the second line is the title of a king, I can see "Rafi' Ul-Qadr" which means "High Rank".

oh yes  Rafi al qadr wa alm.. ( must be maqam)

so it must be someone called Husain in the first line and his title in the second line

thanks antioxos but its hard to figure out what it says, i can see letters and some words but cant make a sentence really, if it was in arabic language i may figure out the sentence from some words but this seem turkish.

so far first line  "bkhtiar tahseen klnarhy.. ash." looks like a name.

second line  " taala bubanader rafee alqadr wa alm.." again a name and title.

Also I beleive that is Turkish text with Arabic letters. We must not forget that during Ottoman era Acropolis and specially Parthenon was transformed in Muslim mosque.

Antiohos amazing picture!!!!
