I have a question, I am a Köse, I have almost no facial hair (it doesnt grow).
The Afshars have very much people with this trait. I know Chinese people , and other people in Asia have this too. Does this trait belong to a region or an ethnic group , or is it a "random" trait? Please post serious answers!

What is a Kose,and an Afshar ?
Tribes?from which region ?

This could be genetical-
even some kind of sex disorder. (i hope not)

Kose is turkish for people who have very low facial hair. And afsar is an oghuz tribe.

sex disorderLOL
It could be genetical yes , my dad, grandpa and so on had the same thing , but after longggggg time shaving they got a beard.
So I assume it has something to do with genes and I wonder if there is a connection between this trait and an ethnic group or region or something.

It has been my impression that people from the middle east, the mediterranean and the Caucasus regions are quite hairy (myself including)...on the other hand, the Chinese, Japanese, Koreans are virtually hairless...even on arms and legs.

hair on the face and on the line that connects the belly button and the pubic area is growing under the control of androgens.

probably your lack of hair seems to be due to your ancestry.

Sex disorder ? for example 1 every 1.000 men has klinefelter syndrom (XXY) and lack of facial hair is one of the characteristics.

it could be something with that syndrom , but not with me , I have tooo much testosteronSmile
But interesting thing that klinefelter syndrom, never heard of it.

But ancient turks had normal facial hair, does this mean I have chinese genes or something?

Lack of facial hair is common among Native Americans as well. All of my uncles couldn't grow a full beard until their thirties (and no chest hair). And a few of my Latin American friends can't grow facial hair either (although one of my good friends had a beard/mustache when we were in grade school). Tongue

I guess it has to do with how much Native American you have. And it's definitely a dominant gene. You can see this from the men in my family (mother's side). I on the other hand am a homozygote for the "hairy man" syndrome. Smile

Edit: I just remembered that it wasn't just facial and chest hair. I remember my mother seldom had to shave her legs as well. It is just a lack of body hair.

If someone has klinefelter syndrome, the person will have breasts but does not menstruate. He/she is also sterile. Some may also exhibit intellectual deficits. Unless you exhibit all these symptoms, I don't think you have that syndrome!!!!!

About 50% has "breast".
Also long arms and legs. Osteoporosis. Testicles 2 cm and smaller.
There are other  disorders involving hormones that cause lack of  facial hair.

Probably in this case it's a matter of tribe-race.
