I heard somewhere that the IDF take foreign tourists to join the Army for 6 months or so...its sounds silly but is it true???? I don't think they see action or anything like that...... Not Mahal though.......

Yes it is true but you have to be a member of one of the pro-israeli organizations spread around the world (Betar in France). Actually it is more a militarized summer camp then a proper training as 45 years old women join as well.
