I can see the Sassanids conquering Egypt, bu I don't think Parthia was up to the task for a few reasons:

*Terrible logistical inefficiencies, Tacitus notes they were not even able to advance much further than into Armenia when at war with Rome owing to vastly inferior logistics.

*National instability: their subject kingdoms and peoples were always of dubious loyalty, reading Suetonius and Tacitus we see the Parthians' war efforts constantly sabotaged by risings of subject peoples of revolts from within their own royal family.

*Natural barriers: Egypt has always been protected by the Sinai in the East. Typically naval support is needed to assist in an invasion of Egypt, which Parthia never had. Combined with their weak logistics, the Parthians could not sustain an invasion of Egypt.

*Egypt also had its own quite capable military and under the highly dubious circumstances that the Parthians made it to the Nile they were not the sort of army good at besieging the many large cities in Egypt. If the Egyptians could prevent the Parthians from taking cities, they could prevent them from having free reign to forage for supplies and the Parthians would be staring starvation in the face.

Caesar would probably take the rest of Anatolia and Armenia. Armenia more emportantly because of its stategic position and the ability to make a easier treak to Mesopatamia, Media, and Persis.

More likely he would see the area for what it was and set up client kingdoms in the area as his successor Marc Antony was to do. These areas would be important for auxiliary recruits and logistical support. The thing about going further is we must remember the simple adage "a man's reach often exceeds his grasp". The lack of natural defence barriers would make any further conquest too hard to hold.

Caesar would find away to split his army and sweep through Mesopatamia and Media.

Beyond Armenia was always notoriously difficult to hold including Mesopotamia, Trajans conquests are testament to that, the best way to do things is to set up a series of client kingdoms etc as a buffer to the Persian empire and other threats from the east. The area is just to hazardous to hold properly.

Its in the end more profitable to hold the traditional frontier rather than extending it. I suppose the Roman empire truly reached its effective limits in the east.

A tomb now suffices him for whom the world was not enough.
