I have some questions about the inhabitants of Siberia outside of the tribes of the Yakuits and some western fringes of Eskimo cultures said to exist in the north.  Outside of these, what other cultures were known or discovered beyond the influence of the Chinese, Japanese, Koreans and Mongols?  As extensive as the region of Sibera was outside of the Far East, there had to be dozens of local tribes ranging from the tundra belt to the Pacific Ocean.
"There you go again!"

Ask the Chinese, they think they know all. Probably there was Chinese culture there since the heaven got broken by them!

I'm also curious on Siberian peoples and I've found the following:
  • In Wikipedia:
  • BuryatMongol.com: Native peoples of Siberia: many links to many diferent sites. Among them, I picked the following:
    • DNA & the peopling of Siberia: it says that there are two genetical Siberias: east and west of the Yenisei river. Western peoples show affinity to Eastern Europeans, while Eastern peoples are more akin to Mongoloids. It also says that a pattern has emerged indicating a considerable degree of genetic differentiation among Siberian populations, especially among those populations living in the extreme North. These differences may be due in part to random fluctuations (genetic drift) caused by low population densities and small tribal numbers in this region.
Aditionally I would mention that in recent topics on Native Americans, it arose that the theory of out-of-Asia is being displaced by an out-of-Beringia theory (Beringia being the rather isolated itsmic region between the two continents that was above sea leveles in most of our prehistory). Chutkis would then be the link between North Asian and American native populations.

You are right. They were originally Turkic people who migrated into Yakutia and got partly mixed up, first with Mongols, and then, later,  with Tungus (Even, Evenk). Thus, they call themselves as "Sakha", meaning "migrants" from the west. My Sakha girl friend is real tall and pretty and she looks more like an Asian, but she has strong Turkic feature.

But, my friend, be careful and watchful! Quite soon, the Chinese would claim my Sakha girl friend is a Chinese!
