he 4th of July is significant in the US and in the UK. It's celebrated as the day the US declared Independence from the Crown. [Okay, so it actually happened on the 2nd] It's celebrated here with fireworks and the singing of patriotic songs, in the UK, if observed at all, it's usually "shut up and deal".
