On his wedding day, September 8, 1761, George III of Great Britain had been introduced to Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz at 3 o'clock that afternoon and were married six hours later at St. James's Palace.
In private they called each other Mr. and Mrs. King.

Is there a contemporary source that records this "Mr and Mrs King" nickname?

That quote comes from the 1994 film "The Madness of King George". Is there any evidence that King George and Queen Charlotte ever spoke to each other in those terms?
