Hello everyone!
When I was checking my facebook a couple of days ago I came across this post on my timeline:
I was interested and I googled this. I found this picture:
As you can see the logo's are very similar. The above one is from the fashion brand 'Boy London' and the other is a Nazi-logo called the 'Parteiadler'.
I wasn't completely convinced at first, I couldn't imagine a brand would actually use such a logo (still can't), but when I was browsing through photo's I took during my trip to Dresden in October I came across this picture of a document from the Dresden city archive:
And here is a picture from the boy london website:
I am now convinced it is the same eagle the Nazi's used. There just too similar, especially with the whole idea of placing the eagle on top of the 'O'.
I have seen people at my school walking around with this logo on their chest and I'm not sure if they know of the Nazi-logo or not. But I do know that I would never be comfortable wearing these clothes myself.
I am curious to hear what you think about this!
Is it unacceptable or is it time we stop associating logo's like these with the Nazi's and leave the war in the past?
