Well, even I know that if a Ukrainian woman starts signing her letters to you with "I send you hugs and kisses" it's a good thing. Or should be if she's legit. :googly:

My question is; Once she does that can I assume it is ok to use some of the "Tender Words" in my letters to her. :helppant:

We are making arrangements for our first phone call now and I think that will happen this week. We have exchanged over ten letters to each other and she continues to be warmer toward me and eager to meet. She has not even hinted at "I want you forever" or anything like that, though she is (as they all are) very open and candid as too why they are looking.

Ok, so another question while I'm editting here. Her birthday is next week. What color flowers should I choose. I know from my Army days in Germany thta red was the big enchelada, :pnkheart: yellow for friends and white for funerals. I read EM's info on the Russian custom, are the Ukrainians similar in that?

So I welcome your thoughts,
james williams

From an old hand,Wink and someone with considerable exp. in Floral Design.  Go slow and don't send roses.  Roses of any color are too committal.  Explain to the florist what the sit. or occasion is, and let them show you examples of arrangements that would be suitable.  Also, be careful with the "tender words",  you want her to be intrigued and interested, not scared and running.Big smile

Good luck.  Hope all works out.

BTW- this is not where this post belongs, but I don't have time to move it right now.  The Tavern is where this should be.
