In this alternative history the Nazis invade Poland in September 1939. The British and French complain, but German diplomat Ribbentrop smooth-talks them into avoiding conflict and, in turn, the case is referred to the toothless League of Nations. How long would this peace last? Who would the Germans attack next? And what side would the British and French take in the inevitable Nazi-Soviet War?

How long would a Nazi-Soviet war have lasted, and who would have ultimately won without American, British or French intervention?

Thats a good question. A Nazi-Soviet war waged without ANY outside collaborators or aid(for example, only soldiers from main/greater Germany) would definitely last a long period of time.
The Germans would obviously be provided with better quality training, weaponry and metal(tanks and aircraft). The Soviets wouldnt be too far off in terms of number of tanks.
Im not sure but I think both belligerents would be able to field an equal amount of personnel, the Soviets would obviously desperately conscript civillians etc but limited training would be provided.
Climate would be the main ally of the Soviets, as we seen in ww2 the soviets had superior clothing to fight off the cold and the Germans lost many men due to it. Moreover, we all know what happened to Napoelons army!  Nevertheless, with the help of modern technology the effects would not be so bad but the Nazis would still lose a high no. of personell to climate.
So long as Germany conquered the European sector of the USSR, they would have effectively won. In the end I'd have to say Germany would win.Wink

Even when we take into account the Russian winter? At best it would be a stalemate as the Nazis would end up overstretching their resources to hold the vast tracts of ground
