2012 Mayan Apocalypse

On December 21 2012 the Mayan calendar will end. Some people believe the world will be destroyed by nuclear war, natural disasters, or economic depression as the planets will align for the first time in millennia.
What exactly did the Mayans believe would happen in December 2012? And is there any evidence supporting the wild conspiracy theories

You are correct, fula, the end of a cycle only, but it would seem to have had the same treatment as the term apocalypse, which only meant the lifting of the veil or revelation, and not the total destruction it was changed into. I would say to those people getting themselves all worked up over such things, what's the point, it's better if you stop feeling paranoid and relax and live your life in the way you wanted to. Now hopefully sense will prevail.

If you know that your husband is preparing for the end of the world then maybe you become paranoid about your husband getting ready to kill you both. If you do become paranoid about the possibility of your husband killing you both then maybe it would be a good idea to get away as far as possible from him. OK just to be fair it could be the other way around, so reverse it if the other way around applies to you.
