It was the best film that I've seen in awhile.

I vote with brilliant. Watch the movie two weeks ago on 3D format. Really impressive. High tech with good message to humanity.

It is the mix of "Dancing with wolfes" with Costner and "The Mission" with De Niro and Irons + a lot of special effects. Really nothing original... i voted mediocre

Why should it be any bad if it brings nothing new in the sense of storyline ideas?
If there's a brilliant remake, which is almost exactly a remake (scene-by-scene), just with masterfully done (e.g. in color, with wonderful special effects, etc...), I'd have absolutely no reason to rate that film 10/10...the fact that it's an identical remake wouldn't make any minus whatsoever.

I agree, the themes in the movie may be repetitive, but it does not take away from the quality of the film.
It just brokoe a box office record: fastest movie to reach make over $1 billion.

The problem was that when I was watching it i felt bored.... "dancing with wolfes" was good, "The Mission" was brillant, watching the same story again just mixed and with a lot SFX made me almost felt a sleep. The problem with Hollywood for last 20 years is a complete lack of original thoughts and ideas. The movie makers from Hollywood not only lack on ideas but even on good actors and thats why we can notice a huge import of actors from Europe, especially from Great Britain.

Dances with Wolves, The Last Samurai now that identical story for a third time. The 3D was disapointing too, in real life movies it doesn't have the impact it does in animation.

Excelletn CGI does not replace good acting or a decent story.
