Does anybody have any good information what Campus Marti us was used for and the main buildings in the area during the Augustan (Octavian) age?

It was called "The Field of Mars" because it was used originally for military assemblies and military training. As urban pressure grew, the field was incorporated in the built-up area, but I would need to run more research on what was actually there at various stages in the history of the city of Rome.
