...And actually thought it was a fairly decent movie.
I thought going into it that it would be a non-stop liberal bash 'em up of George W. Bush but I thought it was actually a pretty fair assessment as a biography. Of course a lot of the movie was overly dramatic, but not irritatingly so.
The caricatures of Bush's cabinet are really spot on and sometimes I'd forget I was watching actors. Featured are Carl Rove, Condoleeza Rice, Colin Powell, Donald Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney and Paul Wolfowitz, and all of them are amazing portrayals.
I think that the strained relationship Dubya has with his father might be a bit overdone, considering I doubt either would talk fully about it in detail, but for the movies purposes it helps explain Dubya as a son wanting to gain his father's approval and doing anything possible to get that approval.
Anyway has anyone else seen this movie? If you haven't I would recommend it, my only problem is that I didn't like the dream sequence at the end (thought it a bit misplaced) and that the movie just seems to end at a random point in the story as Oliver Stone did not define an ending very well. Other than those minor issues though the movie was great.
