....a medicine for boredom and intellectual degradation.  I am so awfully bored.I feel like i have lost the fervor i had (or whatever was it).What  i mean is that i see interesting topics, but i simply do not post. I have lost quite  of my interest to history.Yes, i am becoming an infidel!I go to University but it is nothing like the first year. I see other people who talk about their studies , and i envy them for their interest. I feel like my brain instead of acquiring new knowledge , is loosing whatever it's left.Damn it! I feel  old, and i am still 20! I feel stupid while i have one of the best grade statistics in my department and learning 3 languages at the same time!Arggggg! Help!

Sparty this may not be much help but I know how you feel man, just hang in there you'll get through it, soon it will be over and than a bad memory in the mean time get a Sheryl Crow CD or just pray or both. A new day will come man hang in there

You feel like that because you consumated much of the subjects. History is a limited domain. And you may want something deeper than history. I'm feeling the same (even not a professional, I was pasionated for history) and this is how I explain.

As for 20, try to remain at this age.

I feel old, and I'm even younger than you. For a slightly different reason though.

If you've lost interest in history, I say, go do other stuff. Concentrate on learning the languages, or travel a bit with friends. Traveling is the best "medicine" for this sort of thing IMHO.
