Hi

I’ve posted this message in number of forums, if you interested and understand the importance of the matter please spread the word and contact me.

Preservation of Human Heritage

The Dark Future

It is inventible and one day will happen.

No matter what counter measures will take, one day a global disaster, will cause a massive annihilation of the planet. Even a usual change in climate, one that happens every 11000 years will put Earth climate in the Ice Age and wipe out a vast percentage of the population. There is only one fact and that it is inventible!

But the question is not if it will happen, but what will happen later.

The human kind will still exist in some way but all our Civilization: History, Science, Culture, Art, our entire heritage will be wiped out forever! We’ll disappear in to the fog of Earths History, and all that will be remembered are myths and legends about an era when humanity reached the heaven and the heaven stroke them back.

We’ll be lost forever and man will be bur again.

That is not a fairytale, it happened before and will happen again, the world is round, and so is its History, if not in 100 years than in 1000 or 5000, time is irrelevant, but the situation, very.

So what can be done?

Pretty much nothing, it is inventible.

But today we have the technology and the means to save/encode/beckup our entire civilization in data preservation methods. I’m talking about saving all our Knowledge and History! Imagine an underground library, bigger than anything yet built, full of books, scrolls, disks, of any man, woman and child borne and died, of any event and disaster, a live record of our existence.

Safe from nature, man, women and war. Independent of any religion, government or property, our legacy to our children.

This is my vision, and it’s not a new one.

Man from the beginning of time wanted to save the events and stories of our ancestors. We built libraries, wrote books, learned it in our minds, but time passed and war, hanger and our greediness destroyed everything we built. The huge library of Alexandria, thousand years of knowledge lost to us by stupidity.

The old world of Roma, lost to us, by endless worlds of Europe.

Much of The Chinese old knowledge is lost to us by the new Ideals of Asia and I can go on and on…

So much lost.

We can change this reality, and store this knowledge for future generations.

Just imagine, the largest library ever build, the strongest and the richest, our heritage to our children and their children, updated with each generation ,defended and saved from any harm ,a direct linkage to our past ,no one have done that yet, no one even tried, our present can be as our lost past ,forgotten for eternity, dead. We forgotten as if never lived.

All of you that want to make a change and be a part of this, take a minute to think and if you serious, spread the word and talk to me.

First we need ideas:

We need a good place

We need good storage type

We need a good security

We need independent control

We need and we need…

But most of all we need you

And here your job: Ideas, suggestions, criticism, help… please write to humanknowledgepreservation@gmail.com and be a part of History making.

I’m building a site to display all your ideas and suggestions, write to my mail and I’ll send you the link when it is done.

Thank you

Print All Empires in it's entirety and store it in a bunker in Svalbard.

They actually did that, except with seeds.

Alright I suppose we could leave this thread lingering a bit longer for the sake of prosperity. We never know when an underground bunker will actually serve some purpose. I could see it now: toilet paper, back covers of Mad Magazine and this thread all saved up in some hard drive thrown into a jar for future generations to use after the second big bang.

Obviously, we ought to keep this thread alive for the sake of posterity - or whatever comes after it....

It would be an interesting sequel to Fukyama's The end of history and the last man: The end of history, the last man and the things that happened after that.
