Do they even have an appendix?

Just a wandering thought that came up while watching the Animal Planet.

Women hold their councils of war in kitchens: the knives are there, and the cups of coffee, and the towels to dry the tears.

Hey Aelfgifu,

To be honest, I think some animals technically can get 'appendicitis'. A few animals (some marsupials and rabbits) have very similar structures to the human appendix, but slightly different in their function (that is, they have a definite function). So if these animals suffer from inflammation in these organs, then I suppose that is appendicitis? I've never heard of any cases of it before though.

Regards,
