I, having no expertise in this area, decided to make a topic about the Battle of Lake Okeechobee (spelling may be incorrect). The battle was between the Seminole tribes and the United States. An overview of the battle would be great, and any information regarding the battle.

I am also curious to the answers of the following questions:  What weapons did the Seminole use? What weapons did the United states use? How did the Seminole weaponry compare to the United States arsenal?

Google it and there will probably be something.  As in the other two or three Seminole Wars, it was a popgun skirmish in a process that lasted several decades.  The Florida peninsula was undeveloped and swampy, but its security was necessary to protect as much of the Caribbean littoral as possible when the US had virtually no navy.

British "agents" had previously stirred up incitement against American interests through both Indians and Maroons after the War of 1812.  Spain sold Florida to the US around 1820, but the natives were restless.

The Battle of Lake Okechobee ocurred on Dec. 25, 1837.  Elements of the 6th Infantry, led by then Col. Zachery Taylor were involved.  Even though some feel Taylor got his butt kicked, the event earned him his nickname, Old Rough and Ready.

Wiki has a little on it, but only bare facts, not much else.  A Google of the second Seminole war might get you more.

This will get you a little more-
