Hello to you all
I was wondering if anyone has discussed historical animation in this forum. I think that our interests are made in or childehood and in my case, it was historical animation that made me interested in history especially in the history of faraway land.
two historical animations were the ones to open my mind on history, the first and the one that had the everlasting effect was "Myserious Cities of Gold" which I first saw 14 years ago and it captured my imagination until now an I went great lengths to obtain that series again and I did and saw it in two days only. That series was and still is the most accurate an the best animation series ever made. The second series was about Christopher Columbus which taught me things about the guy that even some books that I read did not bring like his Italian ancestary and his quest across Europe to convince monarchs to support his endeavour.
What about you, Did your interest in history start with an animation? and what are your views on the subject and your best historical anime with links if possible.
Thank You
