Hello everybody,
 
It has been a while since I was on this forum due to several reasons.
 
I need some urgent help from people who live in Iran.
A dear, dear friend in Iran is in hospital after he underwent major surgery. Since a few weeks he is in a coma. It seems the doctors do not really care and just let hem be, while I think there is much more that can be done.
 
That is why I am trying to find a TOP neurologist and TOP cardiologist in Iran who can give a second opinion.
Can anybody give me a name and address (or city) of a specialist in neurology and a specialist in cardiology? It does not matter where in Iran they work.
 
And help is more than welcome,

Hi Laila, sorry to hear the news.  I do not live in Iran, but a number of other Iranian members here do - try PMing Cyrus Shahmiri.  He is a very nice guy and may be able to put you in touch with someone.

I PM'd Cyrus, so hopefully he know somebody.
 
I forgot to say; if anybody knows a neurologist who is familiar with coma stimulation, that would be absolutely best.
My friend was put in a coma (induced coma) to let his body heal better, but now that they tried to get him back out of the coma, he does not wake up.
There are some therapies to stimulate the patient to wake up again, like talking to him, let him listen to his favourite music, let him taste things, touch him, etc.
I need to find a doctor who knows about these things...
