Hi All!
I've been trying to find the exact name and location of the statue of the elamite woman shown in the AE article on The Elamite Empire.  Could anyone give me a lead (or better still the answer)? How old is she? In what museum is she situated?

Thanx, Lenny

I forgot to reply this thread for a long time, it has been found in Susa and dates back to the early 3rd millennium BC and I think to be in Susa museum.

Ancient Elamite objects are really mysterious and seem to be Modern!!

An ancient Elamite Clown in Susa Museum:

http://www.iranchamber.com/people/articles/aryan_people_origins.php: Petri, in a famous speech, said that "When Egypt had only just begun the art of pottery, the people of Susa (in Iran) were painting beautiful pictures on ceramics." this shows that the Iranian Elamite civilization was 3,000 years ahead of that of Egypt.

Just search for "proto-elamite 3rd-millennium-bc" in Google Image, another one:

You probably know the Guennol Lioness, the most expensive antiquity in the world, which has been found in the same region: http://artmuseumjournal.com/guennol_lioness.aspx

Some other ancient Elamite objects:

This anicent Elamite maquette is really interesting for me:

To LennyZ and Cyrus; My guesses!
1. An obvious fake
2. from Cyrus, It looks like a Greek mask from the stage!
3. Might well be Alxander the Bihorn (Bicorn)!
4. Obviously a Lioness!
5. Another fake!
6. A golden headed Goat! A modern piece!
7. A family scene or religious scene from anywhere

No, those are not modern, several other similar objects have been found in this region too, for example look at this famous winged ibex:

At this site; http://www.iranchamber.com/art/articles/art_of_elamites.php

There are some more good photos you might want to transfer!

Certainly, if most of the items pictured by you guys, and at the above site are correctly dated, then we seem to have some pretty remarkable works! Some of it reminds me of Scythian works?

Regards,

Elam seems to be one of the earliest nations.
Elam 1st son of Shem in Genesis 10. (Decimal.)
Susinak & Napirisha may possibly be Cush & Nimrod/Nebrod? (though Napirisa could possibly be Purusa?) (Choga Zanbil a type of Tower of Babel?)
(Though in bible Iran is silver/bear of Daniel. It seems that Egypt/Ethiopia & Elam/Iran seemingly may have been silver age? [Cush is silver age in bible (Gihon) and classical.])
Chedorlaomer seems to have been before Awan dynasty?
The bull (bull/horns) is age of Taurus [or maybe Nimrod?] though.)
Alexander the 2-horned connects back to Gilgamesh.
There are quite a few "modern" "out of place artefacts" in very ancient times eg the glass skull from Helwan.
Sumer & Sialk & Indus/Mohenjodaro were Combe-Capelids; and Sumer/Elam/India have Dravidian/"Ethiopian/Cushite" connections.
Don't know who the woman is but possibilities (if not just an unknown anyone) could include Eve, or dancer like Indus, or "Semiramis", or goddess (Pienenkir/Kiririsa, etc)?
Lioness / "Tiger-man" i have no idea (an elamite goddess/god? bes? humbaba? enkidu? sun? planet? samson? tiamat? labbu?) but possibly compare Nimrod the hunter "subduer of spoted one" (compare Osiris has leopard spots in some theories), though doesn't look anymuch like it and though lion/tiger different to leopard and though male not female? (Spots ~ stars?)
[Note: Nimrod/Ninurta may be Gaya-Maretan/Gayomart / Mars?]
