turkey already has mountains, unless we are talking the really high ones!
AFAIK both countries are very close allies.

THe turks are in NATO. NATO was for 50 years committed to a fight on the plains of Europe. The insurgency is in mountainous areas. We have 60 plus years of experience. Helps them.

I imagine that the bearded soldiers in the last picture are Pakistanis. But... where is the black soldier on the far right from? He is wearing what looks like a Pakistani uniform.
Is he a black American, an African or is he a Pakistani? A Pakistani poster made reference once to a small group of black Pakistanis. Is he a member of this group? Or is he a darker complected Pakistani? He looks either African, Sri Lankan or South Indian.
Also... one of the soldiers on the far left, first row wearing Turkish uniforms might be Asian (Malaysian, Indonesian, Thai?). The focus is blurred so it is hard to tell. I know that there is no such thing as a "Turkish look".
Maybe the Pakistani and Turkish units also hosted some soldiers from other nations and these soldiers were given Pakistani and Turkish camoflauge for the excercise. Or... am I just seeing things?

The Turkish and the Pakistanis train with each other because they are both connected by Islam.

1)The bearded sioldier are pakistanis. This is the SSG and being beards are traditional (from the Baloch regt, of which SSG was originally formed).
2) The black soldier could well be Makrani.
3) The focus is too off to determine.

Millitary links between Pakistan and Turkey date as far back as the Turkish war of independence, when a large number of Pakistanis fought in the battle of Canakale.

I believe Musharraf also spent a major part of his childhood in Turkey since his father was a diplomat there for a while and Musharaff was also a great admirer of Mustafa Kamal. Its quite possible he gained much of his progressive spirit and distate for mullahs from using Attaturk as a model.
