Yay, I have a friend! (I am so kidding...) I don't like this survey though. The website allows multiple votes, and they actually encoruage yet more conflicts due to the national difference. The website states:You have a choice of THREE votes in every 6 hours, you can either vote for or against countries, and you are also able to place all your votes for the same country.You'll have to refresh the page. The voting STARTED on the 15TH of AUGUST 2006 and will finish as soon as one country reaches the 5 million votes! I don't think they are being sincere. People would just try to vote their favorite country as frequently as possible until one nation is lucky enough to get to the 5 millionth vote. This is pointless, from my point of view. |

Of course, anything could be considered good if used correctly. I just have this fear that this competition would bring more hatred between the nations. But in your case, I am glad to hear that good things came out of that website. Just out of question, friends you made are all Turks... right? If you voted no to Austria, for example... then I am not sure how you might get along with the Austrians.... of course, it is possible. But you get the idea...
