Feramez ;
First of all ; Hazar People lived next to the north-western borders of Caspian Sea ; not Afghanestan ; however ,early Hazar Turks founded a state whose religion was basically decided to be Judaism ( first monotheist Turks )
Pollonaise Turks still exists there ; widespread through out Polonia-Norwegian Terrains . ( They were prosecuted to genocide in Norway in early 1930s ) |
I know who the Hazar Turks are and their empire. I'm saying the flag posted here to represent them belongs to the Hazer people of Afghanistan.

For Turks, the homeland isn't Turkey, nor yet Turkistan. Their country is a vast, eternal land: Turan!

Should not it be Turkic flags instead of Turkish Falgs? I donot know why some of the Turkish budies here try to use Turkish instead of Turkic, even the call Seljuks as turkish empire , it was Turkic, not Turkish.

Since you have raised a point its worth looking into. I'll leave it up for barbar (Steppes Mod) to change it if he wants.
Turkish and Turkic tend to be descriptors the Turks have adapted from others. If I had my scruples I would just call them Turk Flags. But then you would have certain nationalist Uzbeks, Azeris or whatever saying that is wrong also.

Terms " Turkic " ( Trki ) and " Turkish " ( TURK ) should be distinguished , initially ...
My topic is TURKISH Flags , and that's why i removed Mongolian flag .
BTW ; do the flags visible ? Seems like the links are crushed :-s

No, the flags are not visible, try to solve the problem by downloading them in your computer and then uploding, or I'm afraid this thread will be closed.

Some people just don't know the difference. They say "Turkish" but mean "Turkic". Not only Turkish people, I've met many Uygurs in America and here in E.T. who do the same thing. As for me, I say Turkish or Anatolian while talking about someone from Turkey. I say Turk, instead of Turkic, to refer to all Turks.

We are shure that Hun Turks and Gok Turks never used a flag. They used Tuğ as Erkut said. The other flags are made up by the Turkish Historians to ifluence nationalism or i dont know why.
