How did the British Empire ever get away with controling so much Countrys? If a country tryed now a days to do this world war would break out. Yest they managed to Control a quarter of the world. How did they do it

Well, back then there wasn't as much of a unipolar environment to stop them, and much of the world at that time was seen as being barbaric and deserving of conquest. I think conquest with such ruthlessness could return if the way things are changed a little bit.
As Genghis kind of indicates, imperialism was the norm. The only conflicts were between the powers that were setting up the empires: mo-one saw anything immoral in it, and indeed it was frequently seen as a moral imperative to 'rescue' the 'natives' from their 'ignorance'.
As to why Britain came out on top, it's because it was an island and figured out very early on that sea power was the important thing, not armies.
Until of course WW2 showed air power trumping both.
