What exactly makes art and literature 'historical'? In other words, what criteria are we setting for stuff in here as opposed to the other art/lit. forum?

Should stuff from the sister art/lit. forum in the tavern that is clearly of a more vintage nature be moved to here?

I'm a potter[what my original ed and degrees apply to] and I also have been playing with some posts similar to what dawn referred to.  I'm assuming anything before 1900 would appear in historical and anything after would go to other?
School will be winding down soon and I'll have more free attention.

Then I definatly leave the pottery to you. Of my skills it is the most newly aquired (only a few years at it as opposed to stain glass or weaving which I've been doing for more than 20 years) I would love to learn more on the primative firing styles and an how they did glazing in yeras gone bye.

Why? You have an appreciation and connection to pottery. I'd like to see what you and others have an interest in.
I also have an interest in primitive firing, I haven't personally done anything more primitive than a total wood firing,But I have studied pit firing etc.
