I'm trying to compile a list of people who had buried with them 'armies' to serve in death.

Qin Huang Di's terra cotta warriors is the best one I can think of.

Did any Pharoah's have soldiers or stand-ins buried with them too?

Besides that... I'd also like to get the opinion of...

So these conquorers in life wind up in the underworld, which are the 10 tops ambitious (and resourceful) enough to conquor hell?

Since this is an inherently silly topic, it need not be completely serious.

Well, Hitler sent a massive army of people to greet him at the gates of hell, if you know what I mean.

Didn't the ancient Nubians bury the king's retinue along with the King? And what about Sumeria?

p.s. Catt, I think the rulers of Shang China did take their soldiers with them to the great beyond.

Chinggis Khan was supposedly buried with some sacrificed honor guard, though I doubt it was very big.  High ranking Vikings, although not buried with other soldiers often were buried in their longships which could be usefull on the river styx or something...

Scythian rulers were also burried with a lot of retainers, servants etc.

I also heard that up to a date Samurai had to commit suicide when their daymio died.
