I can see no "Jewish" star, but this symbols:
... specially the winged lion, look Assyrian or Achaemenid. They could be Babylonian too.
But I'd say is the Achaemenid capital city/palace or something of the like.
The central pillar seems designed to tie people to it.

Thanks for the detailed pic, DayI. But I must say that those are 8-pointed stars and the Jewish one has only 6 points.

Ok. I think I've got it. It is Persian but it isn't in Iran: I think it is Darband/Derbent, the only Sassanian frotress preserved through 1500 years of continuous use, what explains the mixture of styles.
It is in southern Daghestan, currently Russian Federation.
Am I right?

WHoa! interesting find Maju. But that isn't it, I am pretty certain it is the movie location in Tehran because I recognise the buildings and they made a movie set in Jerusalem there. And notice that unweildy carriage prop thing right in the middle of the place.
NB: There is also Falake Aflak in Lorestan, I dunno if it has been in continuous use but it is in very good condition:

You may be right. Unless it's been restored, it can't be:
Just look at all the grass inside the walls instead of the pavement of Cyrus' pics.
