Some Swedish ships over the ages.

A small longship, incidently the oldest still sailing.

HMS land teaching them Englishmen a lesson back in 1704.

An unusual ship type, an archipelago frigate of the Udema-class, mid 1700s. Had the artillery placed in turning carriages along the centerline, kind of like later day turrets.

One of very few remaining monitors, the Slve. John Ericsson gave his blueprints to Sweden just some month after Hampton Roads, and this is one of the ships built after those. I don't know what happened with the turret.

HMS Fylgia, world's smallest armoured cruiser, after her refit.

Sweden's last cruiser, HMS Gta Lejon.

Visby class corvettes (HMS Visby and Helsingborg I think), the first real operational stealth ships:

Gulf of Mexico (May 17, 2006) - The ex-Oriskany, a decommissioned aircraft carrier, was sunk 24 miles off the coast of Pensacola, Fla., on May 17 to form an artificial reef. The 888-foot ship took about 37 minutes to sink below the surface. After 25 years of service to the Navy in operations in Korea, Vietnam and the Mediterranean, ex-Oriskany will now benefit marine life, sport fishing and recreation diving off the coast of the Florida panhandle. someone might have already done these, but...

..blast. It keeps saying the pictures URL has an "error loading, check the path name" or something. err..anyways...

1) Canoes. I love the sleek, streamlines style of them, and how much can be done with boats that are so simple, yet elegant.

2)LONGSHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIPPPPPPPPSSS!!! Where else do you find ships with dragon carvings on the prow, shields on every side, and that were used to attack constantinople?

Who is the great dragon whom the spirit will no longer call lord and god? "Thou shalt" is the name of the great dragon. But the spirit of the lion says, "I will." - Nietzsche

My favourite vessel, training ship Georg Stage - not really a warship, but it's the smallest full-rigged ship, and also the prettiest, imho. It looks better in real life, though.
