Hi everyone. 

I have a question concerning the Magna Carta and its link to the Norman Invasion. 
Is there any other reason that historians link the two events other than that King John Lackland was of French descent? I mean who's to say this wouldn't happen anyway? And, wouldn't it also most likely? 
Hypothetically, if the Norman Invasion didn't happen, England would mos likely either way eventually have a king who would provoke a similar event/document as the Magna Carta. Or are there any other links between the Norman Invasion and the Magna Carta which I have overlooked?

Magna carta libertatum was result of Britain social changes."Norman" invasion if it happened had appeared couple  of hundred years before in official history books.
