Dunno if the "Executioner"  tag is too apropos P-14.. ( but thanks for the linked pix)

While the WW2 Yakovlev fighter series was prolific/ubiquitous, they were probably
only the 2nd best Soviet fighter - behind the radial powered Lavochkin types.

& the Luftwaffe was almost always able to do better than hold its own in the East,
whereas against the West, even its best units, equipped with its most modern planes,
suffered heavily by comparison..
