I like this story for a lot of reasons. first because swamps and pine barrens like old Red's aint no fun to muck around in. Takes a stout heart.
Second, because it showed me a teacher and students with a love and interest in exploration and history. And displaying the tenacity to go out there and search. Report their findings as accurately as they knew how and were careful to not disturb the Fort remains and the swamp itself.
And lastly because swamps, deserts, pine woods, mountains and the high lonely lonesome places; still hold a special pace for my heart.
My personal health no longer allows me much fun in that capacity anymore...but I 'm glad others still have it.
