This is a first for me and AE.  I got this email the other day from Lirelou -

The following report has been submitted by lirelou, on History Forum ~ All Empires who has the following issue with this post : -

An excellent post. The poster should be congratulated. Pity that 'reporting' a post seems to be conditioned for negative responses. I am impressed with the quality of this one. Isn't there some way we can say: Well done.

There is, and we are doing it now.

I don't ever remember having this happen, where a member is impressed enough by another to bring it to my attention.

Don Q, congratulations, you are Administrator's Member of the Month.

LIRELOU!

LIRELOU wrotes a number of very interesting posts, many written from experience, on topics like warfare, war history in Southern Asia, and current events. I always read his posts with a great interest, and I'm far from the only one here to do so.

Keep on the good work, LIRELOU, MASTER OF GOOD WRITING!

Another week is gone, and it's time to choose another Member of the Week May 26 - June 3 - so, lets' congratulate UNCLEFRED!

http://www.halloweenplayground.com/images/smiffys/black-mens-cowboy-costume.jpg

UNCLEFRED had contributed lots of knowledge on the forum, writing about the history of ancient Americas, American History, and well-informed ones on current events; and I really enjoyed his new thread on Eva Dugan. Thank you, UNCLEFRED, and go on!

I am an a extremely poor substitute for DQ. But none the less will forward the baton this week to a veteran member who has always attempted an intellectual and objective and informative effort. This week: 3-10 June belongs to:

10-17th June was a good week on the forum for some classic updates to existing threads and creation of new. With that in mind it was a tough call.  So tough it is a tie. Consequently, We honor not one, but two new members for their exemplary efforts this week. Ragged AssSecond for his photos and analysis on the American Civil War and uniforms in particular. And Sharwina_7 for bringing life back into the sub dealing with SE Asia.

Well done to both.
