Persian Empires Outside Persia!

From Pontus Empire in the Asia Minor to Rustamid Empire in the Northwest Africa, Kilwa Empire in the East Africa, Samanid Empire in the Central Asia and Mughal Empire in the South Asia, there were some different Persian empires outside Persia.

 

The most important point is that Persians didn't conquer those lands for establishing empires but some Persian families, like Shirazis in the east Africa, migrated there and after some generations these kingdoms and empires were formed.

The House of Bunnag (Thai: บุนนาค) was a powerful Siamese noble family of the Persian descent of the early Rattanakosin. By the nineteenth century, its power and influence reached its zenith. The family was favored by Chakri monarchs and monopolized high-ranking titles. Three Somdet Chao Phrayas came from the Bunnag family - Prayurawongse, Pichaiyat, and Sri Suriyawongse. They played key roles in government and foreign relations of the Early Rattanakosin Era.
