Gypsy with a Tambourine by Alois Hans Shram

http://www.oceansbridge.com/paintings/artists/recently-added/july2008/big/Gypsy-Girl-with-a-Tambourine-xx-Alois-Hans-Schram.JPG

Little bare feet are stomping
Beating the ground in trance
Little swarthy feet, dark like the wood of the tambourine
Feet that are used to run unprotected
And cover the life fire with hot ash
And the rhythm is beating, beating itself
Like happiness, like sun-rays on a coffin of the day
Ancient rhythm, one of sacrifice and rain
One of desperate embrace and pain
Rhythms that don't now a stop
Until you drop -
On the grounds that has everything we need
Bread and love, grass and forever home
For everyone....

Dance! Dance is life and life is dance
People throw apples in your tambourine -
Apples like pink babies laughing in the sunrise -
What are we but apples in the dance
Of Life!

little feet beating the ground, evoking
Begging, calling, the ancient, the now,
The forever one - the one of the ground -
Mother Eternal to all of us
Dance with me, my gypsy girl of pick dawn and
Orange sunrises -
When we still have time
Dance your time and my time and our time -
Give me my tambourine
Daughters of forgotten times -
When we still have time!

Drunken Fantasy

In a drunkenness of Time and drunkenness of Space
The time is running through my fingers - and going for a race
Liquidified and slow, but so fast on Turns
And my fingers are so drunken - in self-telling run
When the space is so unfolding - like a fabric bent
And perception in crayons colored - runs me, runs me spent
Sounds mix themselves with air - and in mounts piles
Every color has a face, every sound - cries
Every touch is multiplied by the hundreds - raved
Thousands of flying fingers keeping time-enslaved
Unto such assault on senses melting and possessed
And the time is overflowing, unrelenting, knaved
Waves of color - iridescent, salty, grasping, air-delved -

I have orgy in my mind,
Flying
On a drunken wing of sand.

To All Russians Who Voted Stalin the 3rd Best Russian in 2008

Death upon the vortex, passions on the run
The sun never dries them, so they go beserk.
Swimming on the wavebacks on the human sea,
Never ever ending - will not ever Be.

Prisoners of passions ancient as the sea
Are they to be allowed themselves to foresee?
Fault of the upbringing - to collect remorse,
Not to now where to stop and repose,

Victims of the time and geographic chance,
Like some silent fishes dance themselves in trance.
Time will go and time will come, and regimes will change,
But in the spot of memory the darkest shape still blaze -

Like some shapeless Beghemot, like a titan grim,
With green coat, mustaches, hat with a red trim,
To call back to the old fame, to the order strong,
Like so many deer called to the wolf's throne,

And to tempt, to promise something simply clear -
All fishes end in the pan, in the wolf's gut ends the deer.
But, we are simply human, we all covet peace -
Gives us simple orders, we'll think we are free.

For the Liberty is wide, with no place to hide,
And you are all that you can blame for your own demise.
So, in the freedom rocking boat we're hiding from daylight -
And dreaming of security under the Prison's Guard.

Pain Red Horn Fire

Pain is Red

You are  Red - and I am Blue
I will make you none, freeze you
I will throw out of me,
I will ignore you till you weep
I will shoot you, blow your brains
All while you shake and rain
You are biting, I am strong -
Bite until you break your jaw
You are Red, but I am Blue -
I will freeze the sting in you!

You are pressing in a vice
I am ocean drowning fast
You press me - I hold you cold
I can hold till time gets bald
I will make you from me flee
I will do you out if me!

The Heart Is a Lonely Sentinel

The heart doesn't have a right to sleep
When the night is red-hot-deep
For it's allowed only to deny
But not forget, nor choose to die.

Nor have the heart the right to choose
Where to set roots, or pull itself loose
The heart can only carry loads of tears
Without choice of having them repealed

For to endure is it's only option
And only victory it can accept, no caution
The heart is lonely runner in the night
And to exist - its only given right.

Words - Flying Castles

Birds and snowflakes - hanging on the air
Under their weight to the ground falling
And springing flowers or beasts - and emanations
Of what they have in  power to rule
Like seeds of thoughts, and axes, and blind waves...

Words - pieces of shattered minds, and puzzle-pieces
Pieces of hands, and light of staring eyes
Rays of moons, and stars, and hits in unprotected faces,
Chunks of caresses, and bits of lumpy ice
Bits of fires, and hot ashes particles,
And salty crust on the rum of burning brains,
Feathers and dust, and wings of butterflies -
And sounds of battle, death and life of men...

Words  fighting, killing, dying, kissing, making love and death and ends and presents,
Words  flying, are alive, and breathing smoke and dust.
Words - stones  and seeds - and clumps of star-born lust.
Words flying in the air and in minds -
Unsettled pieces of forgotten pasts -
Words.... flying castles, sinking feathers ...
We are mortal, but they live forever.

...
All over the Balkans, where wild winds blow,
Lay upon layer, blow upon blow,
Graves upon cradles there Death had sown,
Leave my longsuffering Balkans alone!

Torn upon tear, anger and pain,
Far all that was gives and taken away,
Scar upon wound, burning and raw,
Leave my longsuffering Balkans alone!

Blood and orgasm, fate fallen upon,
If you live there you are all torn,
Beauty and torture melting in woe,
Live my longsuffering Balkans alone!

There the soil is soaked in emotion,
Forgotten oaths, allegiance-commotion,
Centuries sowed the seeds of discord,
Leave my longsuffering Balkans alone!

Dreams Are Liquid

Liquid Dreams

Dreams are liquid -
Liquid liquor making us Drunk and Light
When we are drunk of Dreams and Flight,
Nectar of Flowers and smell of Roses
And kisses - laying down dyzzy-dozzy...
The Dreams we Dream!
The colors, shapes and charms
The pull they have upon those souls of ours
Dreams - flowing, radiant iridescent
Freed from a chaining image corpulescent

Dreams - liquid drops of happiness expected
Through my fingers run - my skin caressing
Dreams - beauties, muses, seeds of music phrases
Dreams - spilled water from gold fountain-faces
Dreams - heady wine and drunkenness divine
They never stop - until time us redefine -

Waves of Oceans and of Sandy Grains
Are not as many as the Dreams that Rain
From the existence of one Human brain.

Plainly Said

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_fbFqavOJk3A/S9eCr_JpAXI/AAAAAAAAAMc/OGtCnNuu_R4/s1600/the_great_wave_off_kanagawa.jpg

The death of love is not the act of hate -
The Hate is red, another name for passion,
Another name for love, for nights' Abandon
Another Spasm and another Khasm,

Another Fight, another Sword to cut,
Another time, Another Memory to gut
Another Moment and another Era
Another time when love of you is near.

The death of Love is plain, and white, and leveled on a spot,
The death of Love is an Indifference and Lack of thought
And Sand that never can beget no thing alive,
The death of Love is no Erase and to Begin alight.

So I forgive you all the lies and crimes,
And all that was undone and in demise -
So I forgive you, and in the blue mist
I throw away your trespasses I list.

And let the Death come and lick away, erase
The shadows in the sand that we did raise.
And let the lack of memory swipe you - drop of dew -
And Father Time gulp away your last you.

Harbors and Ships
http://www.1st-art-gallery.com/thumbnail/156383/1/Clipper-Ship-$27southern-Cross$27-Leaving-Boston-Harbor.jpg

I told you not to fall for me - I made you even promise -
If you don't know how promises to keep - and weep -
You have only yourself to blame - again.
For I'm River, not a pool - and Wind - not a fan  -
I'm Ocean and Mountain, not a swamp or a hill -
And you cannot have the River in your glass
The Mountain on your plate, the Ocean in your cup
Cannot make yourself a jacket from the Wind.

So don't stretch your hands towards me -
In every harbor there is one man to wait on me -
One who didn't keep his promise - just like you.
Don't want me to pity you - I'm not a blanket from the cold,
All your cries are  cackling of chickens to my ears
All your threats of suicide - a  mosquito's buzz.

My eyes live on the horizon, not in the wardrobe -
Keep your knife away,
Less I accept it in my back and make it a part of me.
I'm harborless -
Because my harbors are occupied by the waiting for me -
So I never stop there.
The more you cry, the more I despise you -
I'm not a toy, for me the baby boys to cry.
My Ship passes all Harbors - and be it so.

Thank you, DrusinSmile! I highly appreciate your feedback, and I missed it the last 2 weeks, so now I'm basking in it.

I actually plan to try a publication this summer when I go to Bulgaria - a mixed Bulgarian-English poetry book - /I can write on one or the other language, but I cannot translate the poems from one to the other language - because the logic and the expressing methods are so different/ - because I want to give books with my work to my relatives and friends, most of them don't have computers and whoever has cannot afford a day-long net connection, so having my work in a book would work for them better.

As for publishing in the US - well, I think that posting them here of AE is a publication, probably more people would read them here that would buy a book with them. I really enjoy posting my poems here, finding relevant pictures and allSmile, it feels like a complete art project, every poem for itself.

Freedom
http://www.jacobgallery.com/art_gallery/limited_edition_prints/Vidan/vidan_originals/vidan-pure-freedom30x30.jpg

Your will is null and not be done
So you betray me on the run,
Your deeds are lost at any cost -
So you hit me where it hurts the most.

Your lie is seen, your crime is found -
Kill the witness.  There's no doubt -
You cannot have what you so would
So you destroy all that it beholds.

In those your acts you show to me
What thing you are and what you'll be
And all the pain that you cause me
From your dark shape has set me free.

Blood on the bed, blood on the sheets
This is what you left yourself with
I will live long to tell the tale -
Light on my path is to prevail.

An Adandoned Now
http://www.findamuralist.com/mural-pictures/main/passion-series-paintings-blonde-lovers-mural-31066.jpeg

The night is dark and I am caught
By rain and snow, my hands in knot
My heart is stone, my nerves are roped -
Blind roped, and there is no stop!

My hand are run, my no is yes
My skin is turn, and burns my bed
My time is now, my time goes run -
I run! And there is no turn!

My nails are tongues, swimming in your skin
My eye are closed, my mind is near -
My time is now, my near is burning -
Don't stop - for there is no turning.

The then is now, he now is touch -
The rain is crying - and tears smudge
My life and past, now now and then -
My presence, pleasure, and my pain -

My now is burning, my then is turning -
My life is brought to non-deserving -
My now is now, my time is you -
My touch is blind, and so are you

Be blind for me, be blind a spell -
And make my time to go Derailed
My mind in sparks, my eyes are dark -
My time is ebbing, in your hands.

Forest fire - red and bright
Forest fire feels no right
Forest fire blazes open
Uncontainable and sodden
Steeped in tongues of orange touch
One too Soon, and two too Much
Three too Late, and four too Deep
Five and six will be Lit.

Steps on tiptoes and velvet heel
Cuddling in the grassy lilt
Swinging, swaying, sliding, laying,
Forest fire in sundown
Brazing barefoot till down,
Dressed in red and naked skin
Gliding in the pale therein -
Forest fire on the run...

RUN and hide before it's done!

a

All night last night Wind was guest on mine -
Wind with long fingers and breath nign
Wind with words expressed in half a beat
Wind under my skin and on my eyelids

Wind on soles and ankles and my calves
So climbing up and spinning in inside
Wind and I were in entangled knot
Wind and I - and all the time was shot.

Wind like ice, and like a hurricane,
Wind is talking all the same refrain
Wind is nothing if not unrestrained
Wind is one sublime blind mind to take.

Drum is thumping in the dark - like wild blood in temples,
Unrestricted unrestrained - beating unsurendered
Pool of anger, string of madness, pain that will not rest,
Drum is beating in the night - as the time progresses.

Steps in circles, runs in spiral - for there is no out -
Beating, running and repeating - and the rhythm abounds
Like a spasm in a chasm that will not end
Like a bird with open eyes -  but without wings.

Folded legs - for jump and fall, all the things that follow -
For the time cannot be rested - and the jump has to be tested -
Every day and every minute, every run and thrust -
For one thing that  lives forever is the endless thirst.
