What is love?
Murmur of souls and touch of fire sparks
It cannot be really explained
It's there or not - and this is it.
It's a tender fruit, tender like a peeled peach,
And as easy to squash and destroy.
It cannot be forced, it can't be bought, it can't be sold, it can only be had -
For as long as it lasts.
Cannot be stopped from leaving, nor be returned back.
It's a thing of beauty, the most beautiful beauty, and as much vulnerable.

It's easy to abuse, for love is giving.
It's easy to use, for it doesn't count how much it will be it's cost.
Once abused, it runs away - and nothing can stop her.
Precious little she is, because people are not careful with it, and spill it and use it
To clean floors and toilet bowls with it
Turn it ugly, mistaking it with something else.
Everyone craves it, and she became the weapon of abusers and sex-predators.

Rare flower she is, whoever has it is lucky to has been alive.
Whoever lost it is lucky to have had it.
Whoever didn't have doesn't know what life and pain are.
So, how do you explain love? With bare feet on fire bed and oceans talking to you -
How do you explain that? Hugging clouds and building water sculptures -
How do you explain that? being all and no one, and burned and wanting, and giving and hunting -
How do you explain that? It can't be put it words, even words torn from one's life flesh.
It can be only felt, not explained.
Love - salty and flaming, and savage and studded with gems - light coming through stained glass -
Love - a fire-bird and ashen deer, phoenix and rose, torny and gutted, wanted and feared -
How does one explain love?

Love is that glint in the eye, that lift of the heart, the following sigh.

Red told me his Ma said growing old ain't fer sissies. She's right. and I'll paraphrase the gallant lady by saying neither is love.

Matter of fact 'Love' can be a colossal pain in the ass. A real heart breaker and man maker.


But it's the greatest gift and fundamentally, joy, the Ancient One, Master architect of the Universe; has ever given me.

So I'm not going to complain.
