These items were all recovered in an area less than 5 sq. ft. The area happens to be in my own yard.  These washed out of what was the paleo riverbank here.  The soil is sandy loam with only a few very small yellow quartz pebbles here and there.  Nothing like these.  It almost seems like they were a "set" of some kind.
I have a few ideas of my own, but wanted to get some outside opinions.

I didn't have a scale in this shot but the largest is a little larger than a quarter.

Sling stones altho some may have been used to crush raw grains.
Just a guess.

CV, I'm going to get better pics for these, and I have others of a completely different type. The round ones are flat, or have a flat side.  The small ones are very thin and each has a fossil mark in the center.  The oblongs might have been used as you pointed out, as small hand roller crushers.  I have larger that are similar that were for that purpose.  Not found in my yard, but nearer to the creek.

What a handsome figure of a dragon. No wonder I fall madly in love with the Alani Dragon now, the avatar, it's a gorgeous dragon picture.
