A trip to northern Iran

There were a large number of historical places in the southeast of the Caspian sea that I wished to visit but as you probably know, it is the natural beauty of this region which usually attracts people, for this reason I couldn't convince my fellow travellers to visit some great historical sites, like Espita: http://www.allempires.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=27816 because they preferred to waste their time in beaches, jungles and other natural palces!
