Meaning of Nassau, as in Orange-Nassau

I have been trying to figure out the appearence of the word Nassau, in Germany, etc.! And, it appears it is a blank! Nothing has been discovered or written about, that I can find.

So, since I did find an Arabic word that might well be the base for Nass-au, I wanted to ask any of you who are fluent, to give me your impressions?

For example I found this site;

Thus I also found that "nass" or "nas?" might well mean "the people?", or something similar?

If Nassau is connected to Arabic, and its homeland is in central Germany, then it might well bode as a clue of some kind?

Since I noticed that my post received no responses, I shall make one!

It seems, via my research, that there is a chance that the word "nassau", might well be related to the Arabic word "nassar/nasser, etc.

Thus whe come up with this list of possible spellings, E.g., nassar, nasser, Nazar, Nasr, naseir, nasir, etc.!

Various meanings of this word as a name reveal the following; "endure", or maybe "enduring?", or "to endure?", or "protector", or "triumph", or "victor", or "victory?", "winner?", etc.!

The history of the Orange-Nassau ruling family is also very interesting!

And, as mentioned earlier, the possibility of a connection to Arabic, leads one into muddied waters!

Now, I have found something where I probably might help. I live not far away from Nassau, where river Lahn flows into river Rhine.

Nassau/er (Nassauer is the inhabitant of city Nassau) comes from freeloader, someone who is doing something on costs of others, means free of charge or a gift.

The origin is "naß" or "naß sein" (to be "naß").

Now, the origin of "naß" is not Arabic, it derives from Rotwelsch (slang) "nassen".
Welsch has the middle-high German meaning of Romanesque as well as strange. Rot comes from beggar and/or gang.

"Nassen" means to "give".
