The name or surname Aziz is Arabic?

Aziz sounds Assyrian for dear.

When I was just a cute little boy the grownups were all like "aziza!" to me. I'm still cute.
Our earth is degenerate in these latter days; bribery and corruption are common; children no longer obey their parents; the end of the world is evidently approaching.

Did u mean honey as 'from bees' or honey as 'darling'?

anyway, Aziz doesn't mean 'honey' in Persian. Aziz means 'Dear', and 'Asal' means honey.

I thought that John was "Yahya" in Arabic and Johannes was "Yunus" in Arabic. Also, Moses is "Musa" in Arabic.

Azis could be Greek (correct me if I am wrong) just because of the "is" prefix but Aziz is definately of Arabic origin. i s the s pronounced like a z or is it like an "s"?
