The above addresses will take you into a world most of you never thought about! For real illumination I would suggest that you enter and read all of the connected sites!
I would be interested specifically, in this instant case, for your views concerning the possible real purpose of the great Temple in Jerusalem?
Regards,

Salt has been one of those commodities that mankind has always craved and highly valued. It is a constant.

It is extremely valuable yet at the same time it used to be so cheap. In Arabic culture, when one says: 'toz', it means that they undervalue some, but it's used like a interjection to convey a meaning of worthlessness to something. A legend goes that back in Ottoman owned Arabic lands, merchants who were crossing the borders and didn't wish to pay tribute lies about their merchandise and said that they were transporting salt, said they always answered: 'Toz'. I would like the Turks in here to confirm if Toz means salt in Turkish or not.

The ancient cities of Sodom and Gomorrah gained their wealth by trading salt from the Dead Sea. My grandparents went to Palestine after they were released from Siberia and remember beaches with salt instead of sand
