It all will start between the Brazilian rising bloc and the North American declining bloc, some 7 years from now (let's follow apocalyptic prophecies for this).

Brazil and most of Latin America will have experienced neo-Communist revolutions (some of then in proccess right now). Only a few tory countries like Chile and Panama would remain subjugated to the Evil of Empire of the North.

Haiti (with Aristide again) and the Caricom will allign with Brazil as will South Africa and its block. India and its area of interests, though not as much revolutionary will sympathize with Brazil.

More or less et the same time, the Shia government of Iraq would expel the USA and allign with Iran. Iran will then attack Israel from friendly Syria while the Taleban take over in Aghanistan and Pakistan. This makes the position of India tilt a little, because Brazil et al. flirt with the Islamists.

Saudia Arabia dethrones their corrupt and pro-heathen monarchs and allign with Iran as well. The shadow of Islamic revolutions spread quickly to North Africa, braking Nigeria and Sudan in two. Still this Islamist block is unstable but both Iran and Pakistan have nukes, so they start organizing it under their nuclear umbrella.

Meanwhile the European core (UK is totally pro-USA, so it's excluded, as it's Poland), Russia and China evaluate their possibilities. Europeans and Russians tend to side with the USA but so many are the grievances and the sympathies for the Brazilian cause, specially in Western Europe, that their governments have difficulty keeping their pro-US stand. Most European powers remain neutral as the NATO treaty is irrelevant for Armerican affairs.

China quickly takes its chance and annexes Taiwan and Singapore, taking partly control of the Chinese seas. It rather alligns with Brazil, what allows this power to gain time and build its own nuclear arsenal. For 2015-18 everybody that prides of World relevance, including Germany and Japan but also South Arica and Egypt, Turkey and Indonesia, etc. has nuclear weapons.

The loss of oil sources now basically in Islamist hands causes throughout economical crisis, alternative sources (including nuclear energy) are every day used more widely but their developement can't cope. World economic crisis is total and lage parts of Africa and other regions are out of any control. The USA tries to intervene in friendly the Persian Gulf emirates with some success. Tension mounts up as Iran and Pakistan threaten the USA and Israel and vice versa.

A revolution then starts in Panama... the USA is quickly losing control of the situation as extremists are cheered up in crisis-sunk Europe as anywhere else. The USA itself falls victim of a conspiracy, President George Bush III declares the state of emergency nationwide as riots explode in all suburbs and big cities. At this point nobody trust nobody else and just the Brazilian bloc has some prestige thanks of a clever combination of democracy and socialism.

This sounds very believable.  One thing is, with the new threats from China, I doubt others will have time to come to our aid before we come to a nuclear halocaust.
