Mt Olympus was being mined. Copper was a big resource. It's like today, the winner is who ever controls these trade routes and they get to write the history of their times.  The articles were interesting thank you for sharing. I think the Greek mythology was based in some reality of their world and not just figments of a very creative and imaginative culture.  Defeating the Old Sea gods would have secured the ocean's trade routes.  Control of the underworld relates to mining operations, and Zues it seems got to be the administration for it all.

U cannot steal something which don't belongs to noone. The truth don't belong to noone. So, you only can borrow the ideas. And this is a clever thing to do. Everyrybody does.
As for Greeks, they gave many new things and ideas to the world. Archimedes from Syracuse, Aristotle from Stagira and Heron from Alexandria are very impressive scientists. Euclydes the Geometer. The way that mathematics works is completely Greeks discovery.

I's professionally referred to as: ''Cultural diffusion is the spread of cultural beliefs and social activities from one group to another. The mixing of world cultures through different ethnicities, religions and nationalities has increased with advanced communication, transportation and technology.''
