This short video underlines something I have witnessed personally yet attributed mostly to the more affluent segments of Iranian society's youth, and thus discounted its significance. 

...when the Mullahs get paranoid, there is definitely something to it.

Here, one rants on national TV about the danger of losing the Shia youth to their rightful heritage from the cult of Ali.  The trend is also significant among other Iranic people like Kurds outside of Iran proper and would definitely affect Tajikistan too.
