Knights of Malta territorial offers?

I read somewhere that the Knights of Malta were offered a new homeland by both the Russian Tsar and Gustav IV of Sweden after their expulsion from Malta. So my questions are:

Is this true?
If true what territories were offered?
Were there any other offers?

well, i just know that at the time of Napoleons occupation of Malta, Czar Paul I was at the same time Grand Master of the Knights Order, so i think that claim is possible.

The Russian Czar and Swedish King were religious and social conservatives who resented Napoleon's ideological program, it should come as no surprise that they would like to compensate the Knights for whatever losses they suffered at his hands.
