I am always surprised by my popularity among the mods, given my evil ways. I notice that I am being mentioned in these tavern topics now and then, but usually don't reply. Maybe that's rude so I'll reply this time.
I can't be anyone else right now, but I can aspire to become better. Komnenos would be my first choice to evolve into, but I'd not have minded if I ended up like some other members here when I'm their age, like Seko or Red Clay and later, of course, Graham.

Kom has certainly laid a foundation that we are all proud of and you can't go wrong by trying to emulate those other fine gentleman on your list. I feel that if you end up like me your silliness quotient will increase to where it becomes unmanageable. Thanks for the compliment anyway. I try to balance frivolity with sage wisdom (snickering cough*). When you realize you are close to Sekohood even a few emoticons will be of no bother.
So many good outstanding pillars of AE socieity that I would also like to take the time to practice being like Panther for his enduring love and patience. North for his enduring calm and maturity even though we clash on a few subjects. I would also like the photoshopping abilities of Cyrus and the self-demeaning modesty of an Ako, which tends to cover the genius within. King Kang I didn't mention you cause I think we are already twins. The similarity we have in music and sports is amazing.

Nothing wrong with an unmanagable silliness quotient. Especially when a person has managed too find that perfect balance between high intelligence, honesty respectability and good naturedly - ol' fashioned kidding around! Kudo's to you Seko. I would probably say that that is probably one of the first admirable things i noticed about you when i first started posting here? You have that uncanny ability of making anyone with an opposing viewpoint feel right at home. Seems that is a virtue that i have found incredibly hard to come across now a days!
Because i "try" to practice these things, though the intelligence on my part takes "alot" of work, and besides the already mentioned Pikeshot for his Geopolitical brilliance. Seko (As stated above). Then there is Hugoestr, though he seems to me like my opposite in political views, there is that something... that "je ne sais quoi"... that has caused me too always enjoy the discussion of political views with him, and that is without the need for blood pressure medicine or even tylenol! I just don't know how he does it? Then there is this impression from Aelfgifu of having a highly refined culture (Though, unlike one of our most esteemed & respectable member's Regimund, i've never been fascinated with being a woman; But, only "if" i were a woman...) After my first conversation with and regrettably, one of the tiny precious few i've had with her, and along with this impression of refinement of culture... her sense of humor from a different thread about a song from the pov of a grilled rooster, has somehow left me quite enchanted with her. I'm sure i am not the only gentleman so affected by her?
There are also quite a few others i know i am leaving out, but in order too keep this post from being way too large or lose any of it's original meaning, i'll just say that they have left me just as equally impressed as the others i have already mentioned up above!
So many good outstanding pillars of AE socieity that I would also like to take the time to practice being like Panther for his enduring love and patience. |
Thank you, i really appreciate that. I do however, have to give all the credit to my religous beliefs, as well as to the endearing influence of my wife. As far as my wife is concerned, she is the one who somehow tamed the... * **ahem***... beast within me.
