The Second Surrender of Srebrenica

The Serbs of Eastern Bosnia, adjacent to Srebrenica suffered terrible atrocities at hand of Srebrenica Muslim fanatics. The official United Nations document we presented on our pages describes in detail the events of April 1992 - April 1993 and the atrocities Srebrenica Muslims perpetrated on their Christian Serb neighbors.

After a whole year of such suffering, the result of which was death of more than thousand Serbian civilians, the Serbs had more than valid reason in Spring of 1993 to take over Srebrenica and other Muslim controlled enclaves. They had moral right to bring criminals to justice. They most certainly had an obligation to their own families to get rid of the constant threat to the lives of their women and children. Still, the Serbs did not dare initiate an offensive which would wipe off the threat. It was obvious from the very first days of the conflict that the Western powers were completely, and in any way possible, in support of Bosnian Islam fanatics.

The initiative came from the Muslim side. On December 20, 1992, the commander of Bosnian Muslim Army, Sefer Halilovic, ordered all-out attack on Serbs in central Drina river region (which includes Srebrenica). Initially the Muslims were successful and many Christian Serb lives were lost. Then the Muslims were stopped. On March 9, 1993 the Muslim commander ordered, once again, the attack. This time the Bosnian Serbs counter attacked and were soon successful in taking over some of the Muslim strongholds like Kamenica and Cerska.

Despite Western protests, threats of every kind (geared at Serbs only) and demands that fighting should stop, Srebrenica was about to fall.

SARAJEVO, Bosnia and Herzegovina The United Nations' most senior military commanders in what was Yugoslavia met with a blunt rebuff Friday when they made an urgent visit to Belgrade, the Serbian capital, to try to win Serbian assurances that Serbian nationalist troops in Bosnia will not overrun the besieged Muslim enclave of Srebrenica.

The Serbian military commander in Bosnia, [Bosnian Serb] General Ratko Mladic, emerged from a meeting with the U.N. military commanders in the Serbian capital and angrily rejected the principal demand that the U.N. generals had carried to the meeting, that Serbian forces permit an infantry company of 150 Canadian troops serving with the U.N. force to enter Srebrenica to serve as a guarantor of the enclave's survival.

"Over my dead body, or the bodies of my family," Mladic told reporters who asked him about the U.N. request, according to Reuters news agency.

[But...] According to Reuters, Mladic also agreed to attend a meeting under U.N. chairmanship with military leaders of the Muslim-led Bosnian government at Sarajevo airport on Monday to seek a permanent end to the fighting around Srebrenica.

An official of the U.N. military force in Belgrade, Shannon Boyd, told reporters that Mladic commander, had undertaken to order the troops who have approached within 1,000 yards of Srebrenica to halt their attacks from 2 p.m. local time Saturday, and to hold their fire even if attacked...

SARAJEVO, Bosnia-Herzegovina United Nations officials said Thursday night that Bosnian defenders were negotiating a surrender to Serbian forces of the besieged Muslim enclave at Srebrenica that would guarantee the safe evacuation of the 60,000 Muslim civilians there and of the beleaguered garrison.

The officials said Srebrenica could be in Serbian hands as early as noon Friday, and at any rate within two or three days, since Bosnian efforts to defend the city appeared to have virtually collapsed.

Srebrenica has been in a state of chaos for weeks. Thousands of homeless Muslim refugees have jammed the city's streets, food shortages have threatened mass starvation, and hundreds of seriously wounded people have overwhelmed the city's only hospital, which has only two surgeons.

"The Serbs are moving in fast, and the Bosnian forces are trying to negotiate a settlement," a U.N. official said at mid-evening, as Serbian forces advanced to within 2,000 yards of the city center on its southern and southeastern side.

The U.N. official said contacts between the two forces, through the small U.N. military detachment in Srebrenica, were aimed at a surrender...

It is important to notice that Bosnian Serb commander, General Mladic, is fully aware that NATO forces, sitting in supposedly "neutral" U.N. peacekeeping uniforms are NOT neutral. It does not look good for Alija Izetbegovic's Islam fundamentalists and their half-hidden Western ally. Over his dead body would Mladic let NATO ally enter Srebrenica and save it for the Muslim butchers.

Mladic demands that Srebrenica Muslim butchery of Serbian Christians in nearby Serbian villages stop. He demands a permanent end to the fighting around enclave. The Serbs demand peace and that is exactly what Western "peacekeepers" can not afford! They did not came to Bosnia out of their kind heart to keep peace. They came to conquer Bosnia and build permanent NATO bases there. More war, not peace, is what NATO needs. The bases will, at some future time, be used to attack and finish off Russia. British invented "Great Game" and "Eastern Question" is still in town. The whole relationship between Eastern and Western Christians revolves, once again, around Bosnia. Bosnia's destiny -- and at that moment in 1993 it seems to be a complete surrender of Islam forces to Eastern Christians -- revolves round Srebrenica. As many times before the Western Christians will do their best to keep Eastern Christians subdued under Islam. And that is why they can not hide their anger and they scream at the top of their lungs.

This time, some masks would have to fall. Right away!

The guise of neutrality - abandoned

Notice from the above texts that it was local Srebrenica Muslims (Naser Oric, himself) who, in direct negotiations with Serbs wanted to surrender. That will not go easy with his Western allies who want to lift negotiations to the level of high Bosnian Muslim command in Sarajevo. They want the negotiations to be conducted under supervision and tutorship of the NATO allies. More than anything, NATO commanders and soldiers do not want to be fired from this "peacekeeping" job. They want to still be employed, even under this guise. They insist that Canadian (NATO) troops enter Srebrenica.

Mladic has another worry. The military victory is his and he should have upper hand. Even though his troops are only 1,000 yarsd away from Srebrenica on April 9th, he waits almost entire week, till April 15, negotiating and doing his best so battle for Srebrenica does not bring many Srebrenica civilian casualty which Western media would be too eager to present as Serb purposeful "genocide" over the Muslim population.

Mladic is ready to let entire population leave. According to Geneva Convention, the winning army has to respect the wish of civilians to leave. He is rightly concerned that Srebrenica Muslim military personel would leave too, and simply regroup to fight Serbs on some other battlefield in Bosnia. Some of these "fighters" are people who slaughtered old, defenceless Serbian peasants in nearby Serbian villages.

They [the Bosnian Serbs] have refused urgent U.N. appeals for permission to fly U.N. helicopters over Serbian-controlled territory around Srebrenica to evacuate some 500 wounded people, some of whom are among the 100 people wounded Monday.

U.N. commanders favor helicopters for the evacuations because many of the wounded are in such critical condition that doctors are reluctant to place them aboard the trucks that U.N. officials have used to evacuate more than 7,000 people from the city, mostly women and children, in the last three weeks.

Another reason for flying U.N. helicopters into the city is that Serbian commanders have insisted that any men between 18 and 60 who cross the siege lines aboard U.N. trucks, even if they are seriously wounded, will be taken off the trucks, and the wounded transported to serbian hospitals, to prevent the men from rejoining the Bosnian forces elsewhere in the war after they recover.

Let us state the obvious. The Serbs have power to take over Srebrenica. This means that:

The Serbs will control the entire territory
The Serbs will control the population and make sure there will be no future resistance
The Muslim enemy will be disarmed
Enemy weapons will be surrendered and become Serbian weapon
War criminals among the Muslims would be brought to justice
The net result is peace in the region. The Serb controlled part of Bosnia would not look like a Swiss cheese any more. The too long borderline of conflict between Serbs and Muslims is shortened and the Serbs who in 1992 declared that they want the end to the war are so much closer to that goal.

As we will see, the Serbs were so eager to reach permanent end to the fighting round Srebrenica that they abandoned all of the above goals they already had at hand. They will reduce their demand to one only: DEMILITARIZATION of Srebrenica.

At this point, the West and their Mujahedin ally will sign anything, just to stop the immanent Serbian victory. Before the ink dries on the signed agreement though, they would renege on all promises signed.

The Canadians from the United Nations Protection Force (UNPROFOR) were ordered to secure the demilitarisation of Srebrenica, which is also a Moslem guerrilla stronghold, within 72 hours of their arrival.

The agreement signed by Sefir Halilovic, commander the Moslem-led Bosnian army and Serb Army head Ratko Mladic stipulated that Moslem fighters should turn in *all* weapons and ammunition to U.N. peace-keepers by 11 a.m. (0900 GMT) on Wednesday.

It guaranteed "correct treatment for any personnel who hand over their weapons to UNPROFOR" but did *not* seek the disarming of the powerful Serb siege forces equipped with heavy weapons...

U.N. commanders General Lars-Eric Wahlgren and General Philippe Morillon went to Karadzic's base at Pale near Sarajevo to press him to have his men honour the ceasefire.

As part of the agreement, Mladic lifted his ban on the deployment of the Canadians. He also authorised the opening of an air corridor between Srebrenica and the Moslem haven of Tuzla to allow British and French U.N. helicopters to evacuate 500 of the most seriously wounded and sick...

SARAJEVO, Bosnia-Herzegovina. A contingent of 135 United Nations soldiers from Canada entered the Muslim enclave of Srebrenica on Sunday to set up a "safe area" under an accord signed before dawn by leaders of Bosnian Serbs and Muslims.

In addition to the "safe area," the accord included an immediate cease-fire and a 72-hour deadline for U.N. troops to disarm the government [i.e. Muslim] garrison in the eastern Bosnian city.

"Yesterday, we have saved the city," Lt. Gen. Philippe Morillon, the U.N. commander in Bosnia, said at a news conference in Sarajevo. He said [the Bosnian Serb] troops were within hours of overrunning Srebrenica.

But the pact, reached after 16 hours of talks at the Sarajevo airport, amounted to little more than a disguised surrender of Srebrenica, said commanders of the Muslim-led defenders of Srebrenica. Their view was shared by some senior officers on Morillon's staff.

A senior Bosnian officer who attended the negotiations said... "We're not fooling ourselves... This is a surrender..."

The U.N. officers who criticized the Srebrenica accord pointed to what they said were serious loopholes.

First, they said, the accord provided for the surrender to U.N. forces of "all weapons, ammunition, mines, explosives and combat supplies inside Srebrenica," a requirement that they said would almost certainly mean that only the Bosnian defenders would be stripped of their arms...

Morillon said the deployment of the Canadian infantry company, a step he had sought since he made a personal stand at Srebrenica in mid-March, would prevent Serbian forces from attacking the area because they would endanger not only the 30,000 Muslims but troops backed by 180 nations.

By this time the Muslim "defenders" of Srebrenica have committed unspeakable atrocities on the surrounding Serbian population. The Western officials know about the crimes. We remind you of the UN document clearly describing Srebrenica Muslim crimes.

Despite the Security Council's doubts about the justice of the cease-fire pact reached in the eastern town of Srebrenica, the truce appeared to be holding there Sunday.

Some 130 Canadian peacekeeping troops whom the Serbs stopped from reaching the town on Saturday finally made it past the Serbian siege lines to receive a hero's welcome from the inhabitants.

At the same time French and British helicopters in U.N. colors were allowed to fly in and evacuate 133 of the most seriously sick and wounded people, running a shuttle service from the Muslim stronghold of Tuzla some 45 miles away...

[Bosnian Serb President Dr. Radovan] Karadzic has pledged that his forces will not enter Srebrenica and that no harm will come to *any* of its inhabitants after they are disarmed. But in London, [British "neutral negotiator" David] Owen expressed doubts.

Karadzic and his officers assembled in Pale for meetings with U.N. officials waved off threats of direct military action by the West with an air of both bravado and victimization.

Their discussions with Lt. Gen. Philippe Morillon, U.N. commander for Bosnia, and Gen. Lars-Eric Wahlgren, overall commander of the U.N. forces in the former Yugoslavia, centered on the implementation of an 11-point plan agreed to early Sunday morning to end the bloody three-month Serbian siege of the Muslim mountain enclave of Srebrenica.

The bargain was struck after 14 hours of talks at the Sarajevo airport between the Bosnian Serb commander, Gen. Ratko Mladic, and the Muslim commander of the Bosnian army, Maj. Sefer Halilovic.

Under the plan, Srebrenica would be "demilitarized" within 72 hours, meaning that the Muslim fighters would lay down their arms in exchange for "free passage" out as civilians. A convoy of 130 Canadian U.N. troops was sent to the town and arrived shortly before noon Sunday to monitor another provision of the plan the air evacuation of the wounded and sick to the Muslim town of Tuzla.

For the first time, the two arch-enemies agreed to establish a "safe zone" to prevent further loss of life, a procedure to monitor the cease-fire and a joint military "liaison board" to work out difficulties in implementing it.

An apparently unspoken point in the plan is the tacit recognition that Muslim fighters are likely to try to slip through the Serbian lines to disappear into the surrounding mountains.

"In a cease-fire, under the cover of night, anything can happen," said one U.N. officer with a wink.

Morillon, who promised the... people of Srebrenica that he would not abandon them, said he was satisfied with the negotiations. He predicted that further bloodshed would now be avoided and that even Muslim fighters would be allowed to leave.

"The agreement is for everyone man, woman and child," he said, hitching his fingers under his military belt and smiling.

International media on 19 April report that UN helicopters are continuing an operation begun the previous day to bring sick and wounded from the besieged east Bosnian Muslim enclave to the relative safety of Tuzla. On 18 April the Muslims and Serbs with UN mediation reached "an agreement on the demilitarization of Srebrenica," which the BBC said effectively constitutes the surrender of the town. The 19 April Washington Post quotes analysts as noting "the anomaly of UN officials in New York negotiating a Bosnian peace that would require the Serbs to relinquish captured territory and the Security Council voting tougher sanctions against them..."

NATO unable to disarm one mile wide, two mile long enclave!? 

With entry of Canadian troops into Srebrenica the Islamic fanatics and war criminals got their NATO supporters in their midst. From April 1993 until July 1995 when Srebrenica fell for the third and final time the Muslim criminals got NATO body guard in uniforms of "neutral" U.N.

With this kind of support the Islam fanatics of Srebrenica will be completely free to exit the safe area, murder any Serbs they find on their path, and then come back into safe area, under NATO umbrella.

But what about the eleven point plan that everyone agreed to? What about the pretense that U.N. (actually NATO troops) have task to keep the promised peace by disarming the thugs? That's an easy one. Western political tradition is rich in millenia long experience in the art of lie and pretense.

1) UNPROFOR in Bosnia requested from the Serbian forces to extend the deadline of 72 hours of Bosnian soldiers in Srebrenica (initially this deadline would be Wednesday 21. April).

  The Bosnian Muslims are hesitant to give up their arms, which Canadian soldiers are looking after. It is now up to the Serbs, will they extend it or not. Since an agreement has been made, the Serbs have every right to keep the Wednesday deadline official.

2) Muslim authorities in Srebrenica are not allowing civilians to leave the area.

3) UN wants Zepa, Gorazde to also be considered "safety zones".

The talks appeared close to breaking down over Serbian demands that U.N. troops in Srebrenica meet a 72-hour deadline for disarming the Bosnian defenders.

U.N. officers had asked that the deadline, expiring at noon on Wednesday, be extended for 72 hours.

SREBRENICA DRAMA CONTINUES. The 21 April Los Angeles Times reports that UN officials say they will need three additional days to disarm the Muslim defenders of Srebrenica, but the Serbs apparently demand that the disarming be completed on schedule. The UN is trying to dispel the image that it has negotiated the surrender of the town, arguing instead that it is trying "to stop the killing and starvation." It is also seeking to make "safe havens" out of the other two Muslim-held enclaves in eastern Bosnia, Zepa and Gorazde.

It was a day that must have left U.N. peace keepers in Bosnia frustrated. Canadian troops in Srebrenica faced a deadline today for disarming Muslim fighters there under the terms of last weeks agreement designating Srebrenica a "safe area". U.N. officials there say that they succeeded in their objective and that the town of Srebrenica itself has now been demilitarized. Muslim fighters have turned in some weapons but it is not clear how many. The so called "safe zone" is 4 kilometers long by 1.5 kilometers wide. Around the perimeter of the city, along the front lines of defense no U.N. troops are positioned and the Muslim fighters there still have their weapons. Leaders of the Bosnian Serb's forces around Srebrenica say that they want all the Muslim fighters in the area disarmed but the Serbs there have not yet resumed their attacks on the city...

Bosnian Army forces meanwhile reported what they said was the MAJOR battle field victory on the hill known as BAN BRDO overlooking Tuzla. Soldiers then indulged in a WIERD CELEBRATION through the afternoon and evening. Soldiers returning to the city from the front lines shot hundreds of rounds of precious ammunitions into the air to mark their victory. They pulled up in front of a major downtown hotel with five captured Serb soldiers in their custody, one of them a woman. In full view of the press corp and U.N. personnel, the Bosnian [Muslim] Army troops then paraded the [Christian] Serbs through the hotel dinning room as though they were trophies. The Serb's faces were bruised and bloodied; obviously they had been seriously beaten. It was a sorry sight in a war that becomes sicker and more tragic by the day.

BOSNIAN UPDATE. International media report on 22 April that the UN announced the previous day that the disarming of the Muslims in Srebrenica was completed on time. Most of the fighters left the embattled town and took their weapons with them, however, prompting the Serbs to call the disarming bogus. There are 145 Canadian UN troops in Srebrenica, but from reports on the BBC and elsewhere it is not clear if they intend to defend it against any Serb attacks, as some media accounts suggested on 21 April.

SARAJEVO, Bosnia-Herzegovina After hours of tension that threatened new bloodshed, U.N. officers said late Wednesday that they had met a deadline for disarming the defenders of Srebrenica, the battered enclave that is one of the last Muslim footholds in eastern Bosnia.

If the announcement proves correct, Srebrenica will have to depend for its safety on a 145-man U.N. contingent from Canada, a prospect that is causing severe anxiety. The Canadians, who have only machine-guns, assault rifles and sidearms, would be the only buffer between the tens of thousands of civilians [only!?] and an aggressive force of several thousand Serbian nationalists with tanks and heavy artillery.

A cease-fire signed early Sunday by the town's government defenders and its Serbian attackers required the United Nations to disarm the Muslim forces within 72 hours.

But if many Muslim fighters in Srebrenica evaded the hurried weapons collection, as some senior officers fear, the scene may be set for a brutal showdown.

Serbian military commanders have warned repeatedly that any cheating on the arms roundup would void the agreement to demilitarize the town, and they have vowed renewed attacks if the agreement is not honored. ...

In Belgrade, the chief of staff of the Bosnian Serbian forces, Gen. Manojlo Milovanovic, said the Muslim-led forces had effectively reneged on the accord, Reuters reported. "The Muslims have given up a ridiculously small quantity of weapons," he said.

One senior U.N. official said commanders had "no contingency plans" in the event of a Serbian attack...

"Basically, all that stands behind those Canadians in Srebrenica is Bill Clinton and the Serbian fear that he might order air strikes against their guns," the official said.

One officer in Sarajevo said the Canadian commander in Srebrenica, Lt. Col. Tom Geburt of the Royal Canadian Regiment, was "tearing out his hair" at the prospect of having to defend the city, or even his own men.

Among the U.N. officers and at U.N. headquarters in New York, there was disagreement on what the Canadian troops would do if the Serbs attacked.

Cmdr. Barry Frewer, the Canadian Navy officer who is the spokesman for the U.N. force in Bosnia, said that under the rules of engagement, the Canadians would use their weapons to try to save civilians. "We can use our weapons to protect ourselves and those who are under our protection," he said.

But other officers said the Canadians would not fight the Serbs except to defend bunkers and other positions occupied by the Canadians themselves.

That appeared to be the view of senior officials in New York, who were quoted in a BBC radio report as saying that Frewer was mistaken and that the Canadian troops had no authority to protect civilians, only themselves. That has been the standard position of U.N. commanders here, who have often rejected pleas for help from civilians under threat of attack, saying that the mandate of the 8,000-member force does not authorize it to protect civilians.

SARAJEVO, Bosnia-Herzegovina A tense standoff continued on Thursday in the Muslim enclave of Srebrenica in eastern Bosnia, with Serbian nationalist commanders claiming that U.N. troops had made "a farce" of their pledge to disarm the town's Muslim defenders, collecting only limited numbers of old weapons and allowing thousands of Muslim soldiers to retain their arms.

At one point on Thursday, Serbian commanders hinted that they might attack the town and its U.N. defenders, but, at nightfall, Canadian officers serving in the 145-man U.N. military contingent reported that the town and its immediate vicinity were mostly quiet.

In Sarajevo, the U.N. commander in Bosnia, Gen. Philippe Morillon, of France, gave assurances that the town and the U.N. contingent were safe. A Serbian attack, he said, would be "a declaration of war against the whole world."

While U.N. officers took a confident stand, there were mounting signs of anxiety behind the scenes. A senior U.N. official who helped negotiate the cease-fire that led to the U.N. soldiers entering Srebrenica said that his conversations with top Serbian military commanders made him fearful that they would attempt "something drastic."

The U.N. official said that some of the Serbian commanders even seemed eager for a showdown over Srebrenica and seemed undeterred by warnings that a renewed attack on the town might provoke Western military intervention.

"There's a real millennial mood among the Serbs," the official said. "They say that the world is preparing to crucify them, and that they are ready for it, that they will go down fighting."

Referring to a [Kosovo] battle in 1389, when the defeat of a medieval Serbian kingdom by Ottoman Turks set the seal on 500 years of Turkish rule in the Balkans, the official added: "Srebrenica could become the Kosovo Field of 1993. There is a real Kosovo complex among the Serbian leaders."

Other U.N. military officers offered accounts of developments in Srebrenica that presented the situation not as a potential disaster for the vastly outgunned U.N. force and for tens of thousands of Muslim civilians in the town, but as a step toward ending the war. Morillon told a news conference in Sarajevo, the Bosnian capital, that the U.N. operation in Srebrenica could be duplicated elsewhere, laying the basis for implementation of an international peace plan.

"We will start implementing the demilitarization we have achieved in Srebrenica across the whole of Bosnia-Herzegovina," he said." ...

Canadian officers supervising the disarming of Muslim fighters in Srebrenica reported to U.N. headquarters that they had collected and destroyed a quantity of heavy machine guns, recoilless rifles, mortars, and personal weapons, mainly assault rifles. A U.N. spokesman in Sarajevo, Cmdr. Barry Frewer, of the Canadian navy, said that the weapons destroyed also included "some heavy field guns."

But Gen. Manojlo Milovanovic, chief of staff of the Serbian nationalist forces in Bosnia, was quoted by Tanyug, the Yugoslav news agency, as having said that U.N. officers had "made a farce of the operation" of disarming the Muslim fighters, because few weapons had been surrendered and most of them were old.

Milovanovic, apparently relying on reports from a Serbian liaison officer in Srebrenica, said that the U.N. operation was a violation of the cease-fire and that Serbian forces considered themselves relieved of their commitment not to attack the town.

Frewer refused to say how many weapons had been destroyed. But he implied that Milovanovic's assertions were not groundless by saying that the number of weapons fell short of the amount that the United Nations had expected from the 7,000 Muslim fighters it had estimated to be in Srebrenica and Muslim-held villages around the town. As for the kind of weapons handed in, Frewer said: "We have received some antiquated pieces, yes. Also the odd modern piece."

With Serbian forces poised at the outskirts of Srebrenica, U.N. commanders appeared to have decided that their best hope of avoiding a renewed battle for the town was to declare the disarming a success, and to rely on Serbian concerns about possible Western military action to keep the Serbian forces from attacking.

Who is to believe that Mighty NATO was unable to disarm a village "4 kilometers long by 1.5 kilometers wide!?" Two years later NATO will disarm entire Serb population of Bosnia and Krajina. Then they would bomb and disarm Yugoslavia, Iraq,...

We should add that Bosnian Muslims fanatics were militarily completely defeated. Their only and true ally was the West, that could order them to do anything. But, of course, this was a pretence, a circus, and evryone involved knew it. The Serbs, for sure, did not have power to make NATO be honest and keep its word. It was cowboys and Indians once again. As usual, the cowboys did not respect the signed agreement. It is important to make Indians sign a peace agreement, even a peace pipe will be smoked, but the next morning the cowboys can continue slaughtering Indian women and children. Someone was a primitive savage in this story.

Islam fanatics and their Western protectors were only bying time so Western proxies on the ground could get better armed and equipped.

Bratunac, May 3, 1993 (Tanjug) - Moslem troops in the area of Srebrenica, a Moslem enclave in Eastern Bosnia, have been incessantly opening fire on Serb positions, despite the ceasefire which came into effect on April 18, local Serb military sources told Tanjug on Monday.

Moslem troops on Sunday night launched the strongest attack on the strategic point of Kvarc, in the Bratunac area, but the Serb troops did not respond, they said.

The demilitarization of Srebrenica still has not been completed as is officially claimed, local Serb military sources said.

Under an agreement between the Bosnian Serb and Moslem military commands, Srebrenica is to be proclaimed a demilitarized zone. a Canadian battalion of the United Protection Force (UNPROFOR) is deployed there...

Yes, this happened right away, less than three weeks after Canadians supposedly disarmed Srebrenica war crimninals. Yes, only Belgrade news agency Tanjug reported these first Muslim attacks from U.N. "demilitarized" Srebrenica. Western media, as a part of NATO service to their mujahedin proxies, would downplay or not report at all these attacks from the "free zone." The neighboring Serb villages, for the next two years, became free-to-murder zone for Srebrenica fanatics. The Islam fundamentalists now had open, NATO protection.

Now did you understand that signing an agreement to demilitarize Srebrenica actually mean that Srebrenica Muslims should give their arms away? If you did, you must be some stupid Serb. Isn't it obvious to you that demilitarization means that Muslims have now a signed right to strengthen, arm, equip and train their troops? Well, read the explanation given by Bosnian Muslim generals themselves.

Introduction
The Serbian population inhabiting the part of eastern Bosnia called Podrinje (the Drina river valley) comprising the communes of Bratunac and Srebrenica, and of late also the commune of Skelane is subjected to constant pressures and a depopulation process.

Since a long time ago, one could say for centuries, the Drina river has marked, the frontier between the Serbian state, stretching along its right bank and the various states that replaced one another under various occupations on its left bank and in the region of Bosnia-Herzegovina. Invariably, all occupying powers in the past sought, without much regard for the means employed, to move and remove the Serbs from Bosnia farther away . from its border with Serbia. This lies at the root of the intensified cleansing of the Serbian population from these territories. A consequence of the intensified ethnic cleansing in Podrinje is the almost radical alteration of the national structure of the population with Serbs accounting for a lower and lower share.

Ethnic cleansing, repeated persecution and the destruction of everything Serbian, starting from the people themselves, to their settlements and property makes us duty-bound to tell everyone who is interested in our fate about it.

It goes without saying that the documents we have available are neither complete nor final. The war is still not over, the suffering of the people continues, and new victims are falling every day here. However, what is already known, what has happened over this period of less than a year, has the proportions of a human and material disaster unseen even by those who witnessed past wars. It is therefore incumbent on us to testify about that catastrophe, at least with what documentation we possess at the moment, which we managed to collect under quite difficult conditions.

SURVEY OF PREVIOUS CRIMES
In the two last world wars alone the number of civilian victims among the Serbs in Bosnia-Herzegovina was unmatched by any European people in the same period in proportion to their size. As throughout the previous, decades under Austro-Hungarian rule the Serbs would not accept to be its subjects, at the outbreak of the 1914 war they were declared arch-traitors. Court processes began throughout Bosnia immediately thereafter.

From these parts or from what then was the Srebrenica district, about 20 Serbs were convicted for arch-treason. They were all eminent men from this region. Two of them were Orthodox priests. The fate of the archpriest Milan Petkovic is in point of fact symbolic of that of many Serbs from Bosnia and from this particular region. He spent the First World War serving a prison sentence, he survived that war, but not the next one. In the second world war he was arrested again, taken to Dahau and ended his life in a gas chamber.

Those Serbs who were not tried at staged processes and sent to prison were subjected to other methods of annihilation and. persecution. Under the Austro-Hungarian rule several thousand Serbian families either fled or were banished. Apart from the authorities, local Moslems and Croats comprising the (paramilitary) formations of the Green cadre and the Shutz corps directly expelled these people. Few of these exiles retuned after the war.

The most cruel method of deportation was to camps. Such notorious camps for Serbs from Bosnia were Arad, Sapronyek, Nezyder... In Arad alone, to which the first transport set out in August 1914, almost 200 people of Serbian nationality from the Srebrenica district lost their lives. In addition to adult men, civilians, children, women ,the elderly and whole families perished.

After all these persecutions, according to the first population census taken after the war and the creation of Yugoslavia, the Serbian population was reduced to only about 50% of the total number of inhabitants of the Srebrenica district, i.e. territories covered today by the communes of Srebrenica, Bratunac and Skelane.

The new war was to bring a new exodus.

Almost the same occupiers and their, also the same, collaborators saw to that. The Srebrenica district as in fact the rest of Bosnia-Herzegovina were given in WWII to the Hitlerite creation of the Independent State of Croatia headed by its Poglavnik Ante Pavelic.

It is not possible to make a list of Serbian victims in the Srebrenica district either. Estimates range between 3,000 and 6,000 persons. Some testimony is provided by monuments erected in purely Serbian villages and in churchyards where the names of the sufferers are inscribed. Such inscriptions could have been found in more than 20 Serbian villages up to this latest assault on the Serbian people openly launched by the Moslems in the spring of 1992. Even on the monument in Srebrenica itself , in which after WWII the Moslems accounted for the majority, the names of 145 killed Serbs, of which 36 children under 7, are written. The genocidal campaign against the Serbian people left in its wake burned and razed to the ground almost all Serbian villages and all villagers who did not manage to escape were killed , very often in a bestial way. Ustashi and Domobran (home guardsmen) Croatian-Moslem fascist legions destroyed and devastated the villages of Zalazje, Brezane, Ocenovici, Srpska Kamenica, Zivkovici, Sikiric , Zljebac, Srpski Pribidoli , Podravanje, Fakovici, Kravica, Zabukovci, Banjevici, Slapaslnica, Popovici ... (It is also in this area that Drinjaca was, from which Pavelic was sent by his faithful Ustashi as Malaparte writes in his novel "Skin" a present of a keg of gouged out Serbian eyes). Already at the beginning of 1942 there were virtually no Serbs in the Srebrenica district except for few who managed to survive hidden in the mountains and in camps in the woods.

During the years of the Second World War the Srebrenica district was ethnically cleansed of Serbs and belonged wholly to the followers of Islam.

The results of the genocide against the Serbian people in the Srebrenica district became evident after WW II and the renewal of Yugoslavia. Once dominant in numbers, the Serbian people found itself in a minority after WWII hardly reaching one third of the total number of inhabitants.

It is important to note that in Yugoslavia, after the wars and the irrefutable crimes against the Serbian people not denied by anyone in peace either, no records of the victims or of the criminals were established. Most of the perpetrators of these genocidal acts went free. In the Srebrenica district only about 15 so-called collaborators of the occupying forces were registered of which only some were given symbolic sentences and served some time in prison. We would not be mentioning this if new butchers and killers were not being recruited afresh from the same families (the family Kamenica, from Jaglici, the family Salikovic from Biljaca, or the family Zukic also from Biljaca).

CRIMES AGAINST THE SERBS IN 1992 AND 1993
The aim of the terror the Serbs are now exposed to is the same as during the previous wars. It is to expel now and for all the Serbs from these regions. That is why every attack on the Serbian villages leaves in its wake only desolation, burned buildings, looted and destroyed property, destroyed monuments, cemeteries and churches.

All the attacks so far were as a rule thoroughly prepared, they systematically mounted and carried out by large numbers of well-armed men. The target were initially smaller Serbian hamlets in nationally mixed villages, then isolated Serbian villages surrounded by Moslem ones, and finally the remaining Serbian settlements.

It seems that even the days when attacks take place are not left to chance. It is hard to believe that Orthodox festivals and family patron saint days (St. George's Day, St. Vitus' Day, St. Peter's Day, Christmas) when villagers are celebrating or days when they are busiest working on their farms are chosen for no reason whatsoever.

This tactics has been confirmed by all subsequent events.

The first victims of attacks on Serb territories and the Serbian people were the hamlets of Gniona in the commune of Srebrenica and of Bljeceva in the commune of Bratunac on May 6, 1992. (on St. George's Day), followed by attacks on other Serbian villages, and on January 7 , 1993 (Christmas), the last large Serbian villages in the vicinity of Skelane and Bratunac were run over and destroyed. Even before the autumn of 1992 the commune of Srebrenica had been almost completely ethnically cleansed of Serbs. The following Serb settlements in that commune were destroyed and burnt down: Blazijevici (133 inhabitants of Serb nationality), Bebuljice (52), Bozici (152), Brezani (271), Brezovica (64), Bujakovici (166), Cicevci (180), Gaj (187), Gladovici (538), Godjevici (33), Gostilj (113), Kostolomci (234), Krnjici (114), Medje (130), Obadi (684), Orahovica (334) Osredak (195), Podravanje (413), Postolje (107), Pribidoli (207), Pribojevici (124), Radosevici (201), Ratkovici (338), Toplica (254), Viogor (99), Zabokvica (590) as well as all Serb hamlets in nationally mixed villages.

The Serbs started fleeing Srebrenica itself as early as Apri1, and already by mid-May the town was ethnically clean. Only some ten older persons are there today (if they are still alive).

A particularly massive exodus started after May 8 and the killing of Goran Zekic, Serb deputy to the then Assembly of Bosnia- Herzegovina. His car was waylaid by the Moslems and riddled by fire in the immediate vicinity of Srebrenica. After that the remaining Serbs in the city had to flee for their 1ives. Hardly anyone managed to take away even the bare minimum of personal belongings. The Serb population of Srebrenica and its surroundings is now in exile and this commune has been cleansed of the Serbian nation.

Only three Serb villages have remained: Crvica (475), Lijesce (97) and Petrica (135). Of a total of 9390 Serbs who used to live in this commune, only about 860 have remained ( in addition to the mentioned villages this figure includes the inhabitants of Skelani), or a symbolic 9%.

The same fate befell the villages in the commune of Bratunac. Exceptions are only the villages of Dubravice (398 iahabitants of Serb nationality), Jelah (23), Krasanovici (155), Pobrdje (196), Polom (436); Rakovac (25S), Repovac (458) and Slapasnica (446) which have managed to survive and are today, besides the villagers, inhabited by a certain number of refugees from the surrounding destroyed Serb villages. The Serbs have not been expelled from two communal centres Bratunac and Skelani, places on the banks of the Drina river. Of a total of about 11,500 Serbs in the commune of Bratunac only 5,391 or about 47% were not driven out of their homes. After all the cleansings carried out so far the Serbs account for only 16% of the total population of this commune.

Testimony of the jihad campaigns of conquest are the almost totally destroyed villages of Banjevici (38 inhabitants of Serb nationality), Biljaca (17), Bjelovac (238), Bljeceva (71), Boljevici (415), Brana Bacici (236), Fakovici (115), Hranca (152), Jaketici (102), Jezestica (502), Kravica (353), Lipenovici (235), Loznica (132), Magasici (353), Mlecva (196), Mratinci (218), Opravdici (434), Sikiric (201), Stanatovici (206), Tegare (222), Vitkovici (200), Vranesevici (211), Zagoni (480) and Zlijebac (377).

The collective perpetrators of these crimes are Moslem military or paramilitary units, call them whatever you will, but in any case they are formations of bands comprising predominantly villagers from the surrounding Moslem villages and, in much smaller numbers, comers and mercenaries from the country or abroad. All the attempts of the Serbs who formed their own, usually small in number and poorly armed village guards, to defend these villages were unsuccessful.

The destruction of villages
It is almost impossible in such a brief survey to mention all the attacks, burning down and looting of Serb villages. As we have seen almost one hundred settlements with Serb population are in question. We nevertheless believe that a description of the desolation of just some of those villages and hamlets can be compelling evidence of their epopee. What happened to them is in some ways typical of the fate of the other settlements. If differences do exist, they mainly concern the names of the attackers, the perpetrators of the crimes, but not the final outcome of their attacks. And this final outcome are always killed people, plundered property, burned and destroyed villages.

The following examples testify to that:

BLJECEVA (commune of Bratunac), a village with an overwhelming Moslem majority in the total population (Moslems - 532, Serbs - 71) The attack on this village marked the beginning of a series of attacks by Moslem chauvinists on compact Serb settlements in the commune of Bratunac. The attack took place on May 6, 1992. The following were killed: Kosana [woman] (father Novak) Zekic, born in 1928 [64 years old], whose throat the attackers slit in her own house; Milan ([father' name] Milko) Zekic, died of the consequences of wounding and Gojko ([father] Lazar) Jovanovic, an [75 year] old man born in 1917, also died of injuries sustained during the attack. That part of Bljeceva has been abandoned by the Serb population who fled the village and are now living in exile. Their property was plundered and taken away to the surrounding Moslem villages and their houses burned. The direct, collective perpetrators of the attack are Moslems from surrounding Moslem villages and from Bljeceva itself, among whom their leader Hasib Ibrahimovic, and Fuzo Dzelic, Meho Cosic, Ismet Jasarevic, Sacir Memisevic and Ibran Muratovic have been recognized.

GNIONA (commune of Srebrenica), a hamlet of the predominantly Serb village of Gostilj (113 Serbs, 35 Koslems). The attack was made also on May 6, 1992. That was the first burned down and razed Serb village in the commune of Srebrenica. The attack was made by Moslems from the neighbouring village of Potocari under the command of Naser Oric, the leader of Moslem fundamentalists from Srebrenica. The victims of the attack were Lazar (Milivoje) Simic, born in 1936 from Studenac, a guest at his friends' family festival (St. George's Day) and Radojko (Rajko) Milosevic, born in 1928, from Gniona, an ill and almost blind man who was celebrating St. George's Day. Radojko Milojkovic was set to fire alive and burned in his house, before the very eyes of his wife and the villagers who had fled to the nearby woods. Testimony on the tragedy of this village is given by Marko Slijepcevic and Miladin Vukadinovic (Statements on page 81) . The direct perpetrators that have been recognized are mainly their neighbours Rifat Korovic, Ibro Mujkanovic, Ibro Osmanovic, Behadin Mujkanovic.

OPARCI (commune of Srebrenica) a Serb hamlet of the 'village of Brezovica in which Moslems are the majority population (64 Serbs, 462 Moslems). The hamlet of Oparci was attacked on June 1, 1992 and six villagers of Serb nationality were killed on that occasion: Dragic ([father's name] Dragutin) Ilic, born in 1939,the brothers Ratko ([born in] 1942) and Ugljesa (1939) Ilic (father Momcilo), Zivojin (Cvijetin) Petrovic (1917), Milorad (Drago) Petrovic (1923) and Dikosava (Drago) Petrovic (1932) whose throat was slit. All Serbian houses, 22 of them, were burned down. The attack on the hamlet and the crimes were committed by Moslems from Brezovica and the neighbouring villages of Mosevici, Skenderovici, Pirici and Zapolje. Their leader Akif Ustic was identified as well as Huso Salihovic, Eajrudin Halihodzic, Abudlah Alic alias "Dule" from Brezovica itself, Sevdalija Begic from Pirici and Velkaz Husic. Miloje Petrovic from the same village testifies to the crimes.

RATKOVICI (commune of Srebrenica), a Serb village with 338 inhabitants, attacked on June 21, 1992, when 18 villagers were killed - five women and three older men between 64 and 71 years of age: Obren (Vojislav) Bogicevic (1932), Stanoje (Vladislav) Stanojevic (1949), Desanka [woman] (Rade) Stanojevic, burned in her house, Nikola (Todor) Stanojevic (1958), Radenko (Milorad) Stenojevic (1940), throat slit, Vidosava [woman] (Luka) Djurid (1930), Vidoje (Obrad) Rankic (1928), Milutin (Obrad) RankiC (1944), Ranko (Obrad) Rankic (1933), Vinka [woman] (Filip) Maksimovid (1927), Dragomir (Milorad) Maksimovic. (1949), Radomir (Milorad) Maksimovic (1942), succumbed to torture, Cvijtta (Risto) Milanovic (1925), Novka [woman] (Milorad) PavloviC (1945), Bora (Drago) Prodanovic (1941), Zivana [woman] (Petar) Prodanovic (1966), Milovan (Joso) Pavlovic (1919) and Milan (Stojan) ' Jakovljevic (1920). The Moslem families of Pozdanovic, Medic, Podkorjenovica, Martic, Osrnanovic,are guilty of the crimes, attack and looting and the individuals recognized are Mehmed, called "Kadic" after his mother's maiden name from Dedici, and Hiajrudin Osmanovic from Podkorijen. Obren Pavlovic and Zarja Prodanovic testify to the ordeals of the village of Ratkovici.

LOZNICA (the commune of Bratunac), predominantly a Serb village (132 Serbs, 22 Moslems), attacked,looted and burned down by the Moslems in several instances, and had a large number of victims. The most severe attacks were on June 28 and December 14, 1992. From the beginning of the Moslem campaign this village lost 31 villagers or almost a fourth of the total number of Serb inhabitants (23.4%). The following witnessed the attacks and the carnage in this village: Stanoje Milanovic, Vitomir Vucetic, Zvonko Filipovic, Mileva Miladinovic, Slavka Matik, Nedjo Petrovic, Janja Simic, and Stoja Petrovic. BREZANI (commune of Srebrenica), predominantly a Serb village; 271 Serbs, 5 Moslems; attacked on June 30, 1992, when 19 villagers of Serb nationality were killed: Radovan ([father's name] Djole) Petrovic ([born in] 1923); Milos (Rade) Novkovic (1956), found with head cut off and buried like that, [73 year old woman] Dostana Lazic ([born in] 1919), Djuka (Pavle) Lazic ( 1935), Vidoje (Pavle) Lazic (1937), crucified and burned, [woman] Kristina Lazic, burned in her house, Milenko (Ilija) Dragicevic (1974), Ljubomir (Milenko) Josipovic (1975), Milos (Vlado) Krstajic (1937), Pero (Vlado) Krstajic (1935), Stanko (Luka) Milosevic, Vidoje (Milovan) Milosevic (1974), Milivoje (Dragisa) Mitrovic (1930), Stanoje (Milivoje) Mitrovic (1963), Milisav (Mika) Rankic (1947), burned in his house, Dragosav (Milisav) Rankic (1974), burned in his house, Mirko (Milisav) Rankic (1972), also burned in his house, Milomir (Vladislav) Stevanovic (1946), Dragan (Stjepan) Stjepanovic (1961). The village was burned and destroyed. All the cattle were taken away and there were over 200 cows alone. The attack on Brezane was led by Hakija Meholjic, Akif Ustic and Hugo Balinovic and Vehbija Jahic, whose father was an Ustashi in the past war too’, was also identified. ZAGONI (commune of Bratunac) a village with a majority Serb population (480 Serbs, 103 Moslems). Attacked several times and fared like the village of Loznica. Villagers from the surrounding Moslem villages took part in the attack on Zagoni and the following were identified: Muriz Muratovic, Meho Oric, Idriz Muratovic, the son of Nurija Muratovic nicknamed "Spica", Zulfo Tursunovic; an ex-convict, convicted of murder and now one of the commanders, Ramo Babajic, etc. The village was looted and burned. These events were witnessed by: Tatomir Gvozdenovic, Miladin Gvozdenovic, Dragan Gvozdenovic, BoZana Gvozdenovic and Goran Krstic, all of them from Zagoni. (Statements on pages 92 to 98.)

KRNJICI (commune of Srebrenica), predominantly a Serb village (114 Serbs, 11 Moslems), attacked and destroyed on July 5, 1992. Sixteen villagers were killed on that occasion: Boban ([father's name] Spasoje) Lazarevic ([born in] 1965), Sredoje (Nedeljko) Jovanovic (1947), Miroslav Jovanovic, Dragutin (Milos) Dimitrijevic (1961), Srpko (Novak) Aksic (1972), Rade (Petko) Trimanovic (1961), Rados (Mirko) Maksimovic (1968), Milenko (Risto) Maksinovic, Milos (Ostoja) Milosevic (1961), Nebojsa (Zoran) Milosevic (1975), [woman] Milja Micic, [80 years old man] Vaso Poraca ([born in] 1912), his throat was slit, Ilija Simic, Veljko (Milisav) Simic (1953), Vlajko (Petar) Vladic (1934) and [woman] Soka Vujic who was fomd killed by a pitchfork.

MAGASIC (commune of Bratunac), a village with approximately the same number of Serbs and Moslems (353 Serbs, 292 Moslems). The Serbian part of the village was attacked several times, the most severe attacks on July 20 and 25, 1992. The following villagers were killed: Stojan ([father's name] Zivorad) Popovic (1967), Zivko (Vojislav) Cvjetinovic ([born in] 1950), [woman] Ljiljana (Dusan) Ilic (1975), [woman] Zorka (Marko) Ilic (1947), [woman] Milenija (Milorad) Ilic (1944), [woman] Ljubinka (Petar) Ilic (1952), Marjan (Radomir) Ilic (1963), [woman] Ljubica Milanovic, [85 year old man] Blagoje (Pero) Popovic (1907), [73 years old woman] Leposava (Risto) Popovic (1919), [woman] Ljubica (Zivorad) Mirkovic (1942), and Cvijetin (Nikolija) Djuricic. Six women yere killed in those two attacks. Among the attackers the villagers recognized : Meho Osmanovic, Saban Osmanovic, Camil Hasanovic, Senahid Avdic, Ramo Babajic, Hajrudin Osmanovic, Nedzib Osmanovic, Hajro Osmanovic, Heho Osmanovic, Mehidin Smailovic and others. JEZESTICA (commune of Bratunac), one of the larger purely Serb villages in this region (502 inhabitants of Serb nationality). The village was attacked on August 8, 1992. On that occasion fire was set to 55 Serb houses and nine villagers were killed: Vojin ([father's name] Rade) Bogicevic ([born in] 1929), Andjelko (Ljubomir) Mladjenovic (1965) body buried without the head, which was cut off and taken away by the attackers, Dragan (Ljubomir) Hladjenovic (1960), [woman] Savka (Obren) Hladjenovic (1931), Sreten (Milos) Rankovic (1962), Milan (Vlado) Rankovic (1935), [woman] Savka (Nedeljko) Stjepenovic (1951), [73 years old man] Milosav (Obrad) Stjepanovic (1919) and Srbo (Savan) Djuric (1944). The larger part of the village was plundered and burned. The second attack on this same village, i.e. on its remaining hamlets, took place on January 7 (on Christmas), 1993, when the following were killed: Radomir (Vujadin) Jovanovic (1959), Bosko (Mika) Djukanovic (1928), [woman] Nevenka (Risto) Djuksnovic (1946), Ivan (Vlado) Djukanovic (1954) and Krsto (Vlado) Djukanovic. Among the attackers the villagers recognized: Enver Alispahic, Hamdija Alispahic, Humin Adenovic, Bekto Kanenica, Dzemail Kamenica, Avdo Kamenica, Ramiz Kamenca, Munib Kamenica, Kemal Hehmedovic "Kemo" and Huso Zukic and Mustafa Zukic: Rade Stjepanovic and Rajko Jovanovic testify about the attacks on the village (statements enclosed, pages 105 to 108).

FAKOVICI (commune of Bratununac), a village with a predominant Serb population (115 Serbs, 33 Moslems), attacked on October 5, 1992, when 19 villagers were killed: [woman] Desanka ([father's name] Radoje) Bozic ([born in] 1924), [woman] Olga (Milovan) Markovic (1935), [woman] Slavka (MiloVan) Markovic (i931), Cuba NikoliC, [82 years old man] Danilo Djuric (1910), Miroslav (Milan) Ivanovic (1973). The village was destroyed, robbed and burned. 0nly the desecrated church remained standing. The following participated in the attack on this village Akif Ustic, Esma Kivuric, Nasir Mamutovic, Ibrahim Hujkic. Witness: Zikic "Drago", postman in the village, (statement enclosed p. 109).

BOLJEVICI (commune of Bratunac), a Serb village (415 inhabitants of Serb nationality), attacked on the same day as Fakovici, i.e. October 5, 1992. The following were killed in that attack: [woman] Milja Despotovic, [woman] Petra Prodanovic ([born in] 1927), [woman] Stojka (Jovan) Stjepanovic (1922), [woman] Stanija Vasic (1930), Radovan (Sreto) Djukic (1922), Milutin (Ljubisav) Ristic (1940), Zarija (Novica) Ristic (1929), Vladan (Manojlo) Vasic (1929). The people killed were mainly old people guarding their homesteads, tending their cattle and looking after the holdings of their neighbours. Most of the population abandoned the village on account of constant threats by Islamic nationalists. Today it is an ash heap. Even the old men were killed. The villagers who survived identified the following attackers: Nasir Mamutovic, Ibraim Mujkic, Aris Ridjic. Witnesses: Radovan Ristic and Stojan Djokic.

BJELOVAC (commune of Bratunac), predominantly a Serb Village (238 Serbs, 51 Moslems), the fiercest attack was on December 14, 1992. On that occasion the village suffered massive human and material losses and is today mainly abandoned and deserted. In these Moslem attacks the following lost their lives: Zlatan ([father's name] Milenko) Bogicevic ([born in] 1975), Miodrag (Ilija) Cvijic (1972), Slobodan (Vitomir) Vitorovic, Stevo (Nedjo) Pilipovic (1951), Milisav (Ilija) Ilic (1957), Milun (Miso) Ilic (1939), [81 year old woman] Zlata (Milos) Jovanovic (1911), [woman] Radenka Jovanovid (1974), [woman] Vida (Radivoje) Lukic (1933), Miroslav Marincevic (19651, Radivoje (Ilija) Matic (1937), [35 years old woman] Gordana (Radivoje) Matic (1967), [33 years old woman] Snezana (Radivoje) Matic (1965), Mirko (Petko) Miladinovic (1971), Cedo (Petko) Miladinovic (1975), Slavko (Cedo) Milutinovic (1963), Slobodan (Ratko) Nedeljkovic (1970) , Mirko (Krsto) Petrovic (1920), Mirko (Milan) Petrovic (1972), Mitar (Ostoja) Savic (1954), Radovan (Sreten) Tanasic (1923), Rajko (Zika) Tomic (1955), Milorad (Zivorad) Tosic (1972), Zoran (Tomislav) Trisic (1968). The attack on Bjelovac took place at the same time as the already mentioned attack on Loznica, i.e. Loznicka Rijeka and Sikiric. These are neighbouring villages and the attackers are mainly the same ones. According to the testimony of the survivors the following attackers were identified: Alija Ibrid "Kurta", Hidan Salihovic, Besim Salihovic, Resid Sinanovic, Sadik Zukic, Haris Ahmetovic "Hari", Hajrudin Begzadic, Dzemail Kamenica, Ramiz Kamenica, Munib Kamenica, Esma Kiveric, Hajrudin Malagic, Midhat Salihovic, Adil Salihovic, Edhem Salihovic, Fikret Salihovic, Muriz Sinanovic, Rifet Salihovic, Edhem Salihovic and Mulija Zukic. Witnesses of the attack on this village are: Stoja Petrovic, Slavoljub Rankic and, Mira Pilipovic. (Statements enclosed, pp. 114 to 120.)

SIKIRIC (commune of Bratunac), a village with a negligible Moslem majority, 201 Serbs and 241 Moslems. Attacked like Loznica and Bjelovac on December 14, 1992. The perpetrators of these murders, looting and burning, have mainly already been listed. They are the attackers on the neighbouring villages of Loznica and Bjelovac. They are also identified by name by the witnesses Milisava Nikolic, Gvozdenija Matic, Ratko Nikolic and Predrag Nedeljkovic in their statements (enclosed, p. 121 to 131)

KRAVICA (commune of Bratunac) a purely Serb village (353 inhabitants of Serb nationality). The village was attacked on January 7 ([Orthodox] Christmas), 1993 and the following were killed: Milivoje Zivanovic, Slobodan ([father's name] Jovan) Bogicevic ([born in] 1945), Radojko (Ljubomir) Boqicevic (1954), Vojislav (Ljubomir) Bogicevic (1949), Ratko (Marko) Dadic (1954), Miladin (Dusan) Dolijanovic (1963), Negoslav (Mikailo) Eric, Kristina (Nikola) Eric, Pajkan (Paja) Gavric (1963) , Vladislav (Mirko) Janjic (1948) , Stojan (Mitar) Jovanovic (1948), Ratko (Dragomir) Miladinovic (1959), Djordjo (Dragomir) Miladinovic (1958), Gordan (Cvijetin) Nikolic (1958), Milovan (Todosije) Nikolic (1946), Milovan (Risto) Ostojic (1949), Mitar (Risto) Ostojic (1934), Dusan Petrovic, Risto (Kosta) Popovic (1920), Kostadin (Risto) Popovic (1947), Gojko Radovic, Rade (Ljuba) Radovic (1976), Dragan (Dragosav) Radovic (1968), Vaskrsije (Djordje) Radovic (1956) , Milan (Radovan) Stevanovic (1973), Vasilj (Petar) Todorovic (1955), Lazar (Kostadin) Veselinovic (1935), Stanoje (Stanko) Djokic (1941). Kravica too is today a devastated village which was not the case even during the fiercest German and Ustashi destructive campaigns in World War II. The surviving villagers and defenders of this village recognized the following among the numerous attackers: Zulfo Tursunovic, Nezir from Glogova, ex cattle hustler, Ohran's son Huso, Saban Music and others. Rajko Nikolic and Milorad Nikolic (statements on pages 126 and 132) testify about the attack which took place on January 7, 1993.

As already mentioned, the fate of these 16 villages is typical of the other destroyed Serb villages in this region. All of them were the victims of sudden attacks by their neighbours from the nearby Moslem vi11 ages.

The pliqht of the villagers
It is not yet possible to establish the exact number of killed people of Serb nationality. I t is estimated that up to March 1993 about 1,200 people were killed, and the number of injured and wounded, also according to estimates, ranges between 2,800 and 3,200 persons. Many of the injuries and wounds were caused by the frequent shelling of the remaining Serb villages, of Bratunac and Skelani, of many hamlets, as well as by sniper fire and numerous step mines, of which civilians are the victims.

Many of the killed were buried after the bodies were pulled out by family members and villagers abandoning the village, several tens of bodies were delivered by the Moslems to the Serbian side for burial, while others remained on the ashes and ruins of their homes or somewhere nearby and there met their deaths. However, since the Moslems took these villages and their surroundings they have become inacessible and there is no possibility to find the bodies of the killed Serbs. Since many were killed already during the summer it is hardly likely that they will ever be buried. It will perhaps be possible only after the war is over to ascertain the number of victims who have remained on Moslem territory for whatever reason, and who have been killed as prisoners or detainees, as well as their identities. It is difficult to maintain accurate records because due to the circumstances records are kept in a number of places, among which there are barely any regular traffic links. Thus, for instance, part of the commune of Srebrenica is linked with the commune of Miliec, another with the commune of Skelani, and yet a third one with the commune of Bratunac.

The same pertains to the places of burial. Most of the victims were buried in Bratunac, then in Skelani and in Serbian villages which are still free. Some of the victims have been buried in places vhere they were killed and quite a few were buried in Yugoslavia, in Bajina Basta, Ljubovija and villages on the right bank of the Drina river. The Drina is the grave of some. Current needs and obligations, reduced only to the struggle for bare survival, prevent both civilian and military authorities from undertaking a count of the victims.

Despite all this, that which is accurately known and has been established and to a certain extent medically processed, testifies to the massive tragedy of the Serbian people in these areas.

The list given below contains. the names of 648 victims or about a half of the people of Serb nationality killed there so far. Even as we write this memo the toll rises every day. This is why this document should be seen as initial, incomplete, providing only partial information on the annihilation of the Serbian people and its property in the territories of the communes of Srebrenica, Bratunac and Skelani. A final document wili be drawn up when conditions permit.

The attached list of victims contains the : a) name, father' s name and surname, b) year of birth, c) place of residence, before death, d) place of death. We should perhaps mention that in addition to the above, the following is also known for most of the victims: place of birth, occupation, number of family members, cause of death, medical findings on external examination of the body, direct or indirect perpetrators of the crime, witnesses. In addition, their national and religious affiliation is known, but with a few exceptions, only Serbs of the Orthodox faith are in question.

The list has been made chronologically, by month and date of death, this providing insight into the scope and pace of the attacks of Moslem bands on Serb territories. Attention should perhaps also be drawn to the fact that not only were Serb settlemtiits destroyed, but also whole families in some villages were wiped out.

Shamelessly, the West kept supporting the Islamic criminals while still pretending to be neutral. They supported them overtly or covertly, any way they could. Already described cycle "Food for Muslims - death to Serbian Christians" continued uninterrupted throughout autumn of 1992 and spring 1993.

Completely besieged tiny Moslem enclaves in Eastern Bosnia as well as Sarajevo itself (for years!) never seemed to be without ammunition. "Poor, besieged Muslims" could again and again initiate offensives against the Serbs.

There was obviously something rotten in the "food" the "neutral" NATO was distributing. No-one is that stupid not to see.

Canadian (i.e. NATO) troops, dressed as "neutral" U.N. were to push through the Bosnian Serb lines with declared intention to (only) feed the Bosnian Serb enemy. Why would the Serbs not trust Canadians and why would they insist to inspect weapons the Canadians were bringing in? Maybe it is because any time such humanitarian convoy arrived the Muslim enemy would get a new will (and brand new weapons) to fight.

The dislocation of the Serbian population from Gorazde County [Eastern Bosnia] completes one of the strategic plans of the Moslam extremists in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In fact, an ethnicaly cleansed corridor has been created. It connects the Moslems in Bosnia with those in Sandzak [Serbia] that have been suplying man, arms and ammunition to Mr. Izetbegovic's army ever since the war started. "We would have long finished the war if UNPROFOR did not start bringing "help" to Gorazde with the permission of our authorities. When the first white [U.N.] trucks arrived, whose safe-passage was our duty, the Moslems in the city started using heavy machine-guns, mortars, hand launchers, missiles... weapons that they did not have until than. The arms we captured in the battle and the rounds of ammo we've found were made in Pakistan, Turkey and Egypt. Did you notice, in our first quote, where the Canadian "humanitarian help" convoy returned to? To Belgrade!

"The strong-man" as Western media liked to call him, President of Serbia, Slobodan Milosevic, was bending backwards in trying to avoid unavoidable confrontation with the West. The West could only hope for such weakness in Serbian ranks.

Milosevic has allowed NATO to use next door Serbia as storage place for Western "humanitarian help." One was in my home town of Panchevo. French "U.N." troops were stationed in ex-Yugoslav Army barracks at the outskirts of the town. NATO expressed its gratitude in accordance to Western culture. They viciously bombed my town a few years later.

Let us check this "humanitarian help" ourselves. This Washington Post article was published only five days after the Associated Press' report saying that Canadians were sent back to Belgrade.

SPLIT, Croatia, April 8 - The U.N. humanitarian aid mission in Bosnia was publicly embarrassed today when Serb nationalist forces besieging Sarajevo uncovered dozens of crates of ammunition on U.N. relief trucks apparently destined for the city's Slavic Muslim-led defenders.

The incident at a Serb checkpoint just outside the embattled Bosnian capital was seen as a major setback in U.N. attempts to be viewed as a neutral player in Bosnia's year-old Serb-Muslim-Croat war. The Serbs have argued long and bitterly that the 7,200 U.N. troops in Bosnia have sided against them in the factional war and were quick to seize on the ammunition crates as proof, summoning reporters and cameramen to record the discovery.

The 48 ammunition crates, found hidden in a load of flour being hauled from warehouses at Sarajevo airport to civilians in the predominantly Muslim suburb of Butmir, contained 7,500 7.9mm and 12.7mm cartridges - designed for use in AK-47 automatic assault rifles and heavy machine guns.

U.N. officials, who promised a complete investigation of the smuggling attempt, were embarrassed again when they launched a search of their own and found 24 sacks of gunpowder and at least 8,000 more rounds of small-arms ammunition hidden in false container bottoms at the U.N.-controlled airport, which serves as a depot for international food and medical aid for Sarajevo's 380,000 besieged civilians.

"We're totally baffled by this event," said Peter Kessler, a spokesman for the U.N. refugee agency, which coordinates the Bosnian aid effort...

In war-ravaged eastern Bosnia, meanwhile, U.N. prestige was battered further when a small convoy carrying the commander of U.N. troops in the republic, French Gen. Philippe Morillon, was set upon by a crowd of Bosnian Serb civilians near Zvornik - about 30 miles north of the besieged Muslim city of Srebrenica.

The crowd - composed mostly of women - pounded on the hoods of the U.N. vehicles, ripped off radio antennas and called Morillon "Hitler," according to reports from the scene. Morillon had hoped to lead 120 U.N. troops into Srebrenica to shore up the morale..., but the high-profile effort has apparently now been postponed.

Perhaps the only good news of the day for the United Nations was that 14 more relief trucks were allowed to enter Srebrenica, half of them carrying food, and left the embattled enclave loaded with 1,400 Muslim refugees en route to the Muslim stronghold of Tuzla, about 60 miles to the northwest...

And he attacked Slovenian regime because of the way they treated the Serbs. Much how the Croats forced the Serbs into secondary roles in their country even making them wear "minority IDs" like the Jews in Nazi Germany. Old habits die hard? Actually Izetbegovic is the DIRECT REASON Srebrenica happened. Even the commanders there said this. The Bosniak ones. I'll give a full outline of Srebrenica from the Bosniak side.

Vukovar was a war scene because of what the Ustashe minded Tudgman did to the Serbs in Croatia. When the civil war happened there were Serbian Republics not under Serbia proper in several areas such as Krajina and Bosnia. The Serb republic of Krajina answered to their higher ups, the RS answered to this. Sorry but war criminals or not, those paramilitaries were taking no orders from Milosevic. One of the Krajina commanders in an intverview said he wanted to assassinate Milosevic for not helping enough in Krajina. "My God they are trailing him for war crimes against the Croats? War crimes against the Croats?!" He knew the horrors of what the Croatians did where hundreds of thousands of Serbs were killed/forced out.

There was never a seperate ethnic composition of "Bosniak" until Islam was introduced. There were Serbs and there were Croatians. Bosniaks split out of the Serbs when they adopted Islam. I know there was a political division, but no more different then say between Wallachia and Moldavia in my country at that time.
