Just curious does anyone else on here like to listen to Afrikaans folk songs.

My favorite is arguably the controversial song  Delarey by Bok van Blerk

My mother in law was raised in South Africa and she always sings Africaans and click lanuage song, they are truly nice, but I don't know their title

I listen to them a bit due to the entertaining political situations there and the close similarity to English.

Linguistically, listening to Afrikaans helps me keep track of non-English grammer.

The tunes are often much nicer than you get in American pop music as well.

Delarey is a fascinating song politically, someone should write a detailed paper on it (yes, I know there have been a few articles but most of them are short and by Afrikaaners or other South Africans).
Human error is a certainty, the location of it is not.

I have to admit that I had never have the chance to hear any Afrikaan folk sings, is this sounds as a interesting project to learn something new
