Interesting. This also highlights the danger of movies touching historical themes. The main point of movies is to entertain and transmit emotion, not accurate information. If there is a way to improve a story, by changing details or bringing in new music which the director likes more, it is done.

Sure, many directors get a few historical consultants to try to get things right. However, if there is a decision between accuracy and movie convention, movie convention wins.

Nothing highlights this more than having university professors parse parts of movies to their students. I had one who showed examples of roman formations from movies, pointing out accurate details and then pointing out the tons of inaccurate ones.

I wonder if US Civil War movies are now more accurate because the significant number of the viewers are going to be a bunch of people who pursue avocational research on the topic.

Hi Everyone,

please find below a link that will guide you to a Youo Tube video.
Video contains 2 different mexican militar marches.

First one is the real Mexican Toque a Deguello.

The second one is the famouns Marcha Dragona

Toque a Deguello is a Buggle Call to indicate that No Prisioners should be taken.

The Toque a Dequellos performed at Alamo on 2004:

was displayed on a different way. First of all, it was used for the Cavalry during the attack, not during the siege.

Toque a Deguello was a " popular" march among all the Latin american countries and Spain.
